Stand with Scouts Sunday

Mark your calendar now for our webcast: "Stand with Scouts Sunday" on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 7:00 PM (EDT). During the fast paced presentation with Tony Perkins and his special guests, you will hear about how you can help preserve Scouting as its founders envisioned it. Click here to host the FREE webcast in your church. We will archive the program so that it could be shown any time after it is posted on Sunday evening, May 5, but prteferably by Sunday, May 19.
Here's why: Remember, the BSA Board says that it is "discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation." Thankfully, the BSA Board's move to reverse tradition and abandon their policy on homosexuality was stalled due to a public outcry from hundreds of thousands of Americans like you and your church members. Unwilling to make a principled stand, the BSA Board decided to put the decision to a vote of approximately 1,400 National Council members during their meeting on May 22-24. That gives us a small window of time to make a positive impact.
We have developed several FREE downloadable tools to help you communicate the URGENT need to "Stand with the Scouts" and urge the BSA leadership to stay the course on teaching young men to be "morally straight."
  • Brief Video: Click on the link to access a video for forwarding or showing during worship.
  • BSA Bulletin Insert can be downloaded, printed, cut in the middle and distributed in your Worship Folder, at your Welcome Center or at other high-traffic areas. The back side of the Bulletin Insert has a Petition. Encourage members to sign it.
  • BSA Petition PowerPoint: Click on the link for slides to chose from and place in your Worship Announcement cue. Simply download and share with your congregation. Again, you can change the date and time for viewing the webcast on the slide if you need to do so.
Please ask your Sunday worship attendees to join us for the BSA webcast on May 5 and sign the Petition. Thanks for helping keep the Scouts "morally straight!"
