Dear Patriot,
Thanks to the activism of NPLA members and other pro-lifers, the Department of Health and Human Services has received a record 27,459 comments on Obama's Abortion Pill Mandate.
If you haven't already done so, I hope you will click here at once to submit your comment.
Planned Parenthood and the so-called "National Abortion Rights Action League" (NARAL) have been feverishly working to use ObamaCare as an excuse to expand abortion at taxpayer's expense.
The comment period closes in less than a week.
If you would like further details and for a sample message to send to HHS, please read the email below.
If you have already submitted your comment, I hope that you will forward this message to a friend.
The Obama Administration's
mandate is to force all employers, including religious charities, to
provide
abortion pills at no cost to their employees.
And National Pro-Life Alliance members have been a huge part of the outcry against this abominable policy.
There has been so much outcry and so many lawsuits, in fact, that Obama has again announced that he would "fix" the problem by using what amounts to juggling the books.
What Obama has now decreed is that while religious institutions will still have to dispense abortion pills as an employee benefit, they somehow won't have to pay for them.
This, of course, is an illusion, not a solution.
The essential, conscience-violating truth of Obama's abortion pill mandate remains untouched.
Religious institutions, along with all other employers, still have to buy plans that dispense abortion pills at "no cost" to their employees.
And if they don't comply, they will be fined amounts that for many institutions could mount into the millions of dollars.
Or they can simply close their doors.
This outrageous policy deserves all the pushback it has received.
But there are two points that are generally being overlooked.
The first is that, even if you believe the phony Obama "solution" is real, it can at any time be revoked by Mr. Obama or some other future president.
The second is that, while it is horrible to force religious institutions to provide abortion pills, it is equally evil to force grocers, contractors, salesmen, plumbers, restaurant owners or anyone else to subsidize the slaughter of the unborn.
While this continues to be a hot button issue, we should not stop at banning the abortion pill mandate only for religious employers. The final rule must ultimately repeal the abortion pill mandate for ALL employers.
That's why I hope you'll join me in standing up against a so-called "fix" which does NOTHING to stop the problem of forcing Americans to offer and pay for abortion drug coverage in their insurance plans.
Let me explain what you can do.
I know we often complain about bureaucrats, yet there is a way we might be able to use the regulatory process to undo President Obama's abortion pill mandate.
You see, most civil servants are not appointed by the President.
And the law says that they must review public comments before new regulation can be put in effect.
It's a long shot, but there's a chance that if you and I can generate a tidal wave of opposition, we can force bureaucrats at the Department of Health and Human Services to end the abortion pill mandate.

To Whom It May
Concern,
It is wrong to use taxpayer dollars to promote or provide abortions.
And it is wrong to force employers to buy insurance plans which must cover drugs that act as abortifacients.
That's why I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed rule, the so-called "accommodation" of February 6, 2013.
In reality, it is no accommodation at all since it would maintain a plan that requires more than 95% of all employers to buy and directly pay for abortion-causing drugs.
And even after its cosmetic changes, it still requires ALL employers including churches and religious institutions to provide abortion-causing drugs to their employees in their health care insurance.
All human life is sacred – born and unborn.
And abortion has no place in a program that calls itself a "health care" plan.
Sincerely,
(Your Name)
