Best wishes for YOU in the new year. We had our last service for 2006 today. The fellowship was warm but the building was cold. Our heating system was not working properly. We shortened up the services and did not have an afternoon service. We will have the gas company service the funace for us and get it back in proper operating condition.
I preached on "The Gospel" and everyone seemed to enjoy it in spite of the uncomfortable temperature in our auditorium. I have deleted all the other sermon outlines on our church website and will start fresh with todays message. This will help the page to load faster. If you want to see the outline of any of the sermons mentioned in earlier blog posts just send me a note and I'll get a copy out of archives for you.
This evening we will go down to the Family Shelter and have a wedding for a couple that has been visiting our services lately. Pray for Dennis and Tina as they are joined in holy matrimony. Then Marion and I plan on coming home to hunker down for the evening. We will probably stay up and watch the fireworks at the Spaceneedle on TV.
Sister Turner is still waiting for the report from the neural surgeon on the EEG they did last week but she seems to be doing OK. Our grandson AJ had a "normal" reading on his EEG. Pray for Elder Tim Crawford who was scheduled for open heart surgery yesterday down in Eugenem Oregon. If Jesus doesn't come back before midnight tonight, we hope 2007 will be the year of the RAPTURE. Lord bless.

God blessed our services today again at TLBC. Our daughter Cindi was there with the children. AJ is doing much better. A recent EEG showed him in the "normal" range. We thank the Lord for this and consider it a wonderful answer to prayer.
We had a scare this week with sister Diana Turner. Things are better now but she will have an EEG this Tuesday and we are praying for her about this. Brother Turner brought a good lesson in Sunday School today on "The Day That Jesus Was Born." It is not what most people think.
I preached on "Giving Offerings" in the AM and taught on "The Young Child In The House In Bethleham" in the PM service. You can see our church website here: TLBC
If you have not looked at AGLOCO yet, I want to make sure you have the opportunity to do so. Since you are on the net anyway, why not get PAID for what you do on the net already? This new company makes it possible for you to do that. Sign up in AGLOCO (no charge at this time) and that is it. Just keep doing what you have been doing all along anyway and in time you will start getting checks. Sound OK? OK!

A Shelter In The Time Of Storm
Our first song before Sunday School today (12-17-06) at church was "A Shelter In The Time Of Storm" and it seemed very appropriate. We have been through an auful lot "weather-wize" lately here in the Great Northwest. We were fairly fortunate here at the Killion home. We were only without power for about 12 or 13 hours and we had a 5000KW generator to help tide us over. Others are still without power. Spiritually speaking it is Christ and Him alone who can save you from sin and the storms of life. I hope you know HIM.
It was good to have three first time visitors in our services today. I preached on "Giving".

We thank the Lord for answered prayer regarding my mother-in-law Ooshie Hirata this week. She had surgery to repair the wires on her pace maker and is recovering nicely. For other APs (answered prayers) see the prayer page of our TLBC web site.
I don't know how much you use the internet or how you use it but obviously you use it a little or you wouldn't be reading this. So, why not get paid for your use of the net? There is a way, you know, to do that now. This is not a joke and it is not a trick to get you to pay for something. I'd like to encourage you to look at what is offered by a new company called AGLOCO. Their motto is "own the Internet".
Please take a look at how they will pay you for what you are already doing on the net by clicking HERE.

PS: Blogger.com is taking measures to help guard against "Spam Blogs" and my post today is temporarily blocked until they can verify that THIS is NOT a "Spam Blog". As soon as I am notified that we have been cleared, I will be able to post this Draft but until then, it is sitting in the background on hold. This is only a minor inconvenience but it will be worth it if it helps to block the robotic style junk that fills our sites with unrelated garbage. Please bear with me while we endure this slight delay...

Greetings,
Good day in church again today. I preached my last lesson on the Sermon on the Mount. Outline of sermon is posted on the TLBC web site. I may be removing these outlines from our church page soon in order keep it from loading too slowly. Take a look quickly. Am praying about what to preach on next. Click here to see our church website.
Marion and I enjoyed a nice Luncheon yesterday over at the Elks Club for Pierce Transit Retirees. The food and fellowship was good and we came home with two pointsetas and a gift certificate for dinner at the Olive Garden. Not bad.
Remember these?
Those Grand Old Burma Shave Road Signs
For those who never saw any of the Burma Shave signs, here is a quick lesson in our history of the 1930s, '40's and 50's.
Before there were interstates, when everyone drove the old 2 lane roads, Burma Shave signs would be posted all over the countryside in farmers' fields. They were small red signs with white letters. Five signs, about 100 feet apart, each containing 1 line of a 4-line couplet ... and the obligatory 5th sign advertising Burma Shave, a popular shaving cream. Here are more of the actual signs:
TRAINS DON'T WANDER
ALL OVER THE MAP
'CAUSE NOBODY SITS
IN THE ENGINEER'S LAP
Burma Shave
SHE KISSED THE HAIRBRUSH
BY MISTAKE
SHE THOUGHT IT WAS
HER HUSBAND JAKE
Burma Shave
DON'T LOSE YOUR HEAD
TO GAIN A MINUTE
YOU NEED YOUR HEAD
YOUR BRAINS ARE IN IT
Burma Shave
DROVE TOO LONG
DRIVER SNOOZING
WHAT HAPPENED
NEXT IS NOT AMUSING
Burma Shave
BROTHER SPEEDER
LET'S REHEARSE
ALL TOGETHER
GOOD MORNING, NURSE
Burma Shave
CAUTIOUS RIDER
TO HER RECKLESS DEAR
LET'S HAVE LESS BULL
AND MORE STEER
Burma Shave
SPEED WAS HIGH
WEATHER WAS NOT
TIRES WERE THIN
X MARKS THE SPOT
Burma Shave
THE MIDNIGHT RIDE
OF PAUL FOR BEER
LED TO A WARMER
HEMISPHERE
Burma Shave
AROUND THE CURVE
LICKETY-SPLIT
BEAUTIFUL CAR
WASN'T IT?
Burma Shave
NO MATTER THE PRICE
NO MATTER HOW NEW
THE BEST SAFETY DEVICE
IN THE CAR IS YOU
Burma Shave
A GUY WHO DRIVES
A CAR WIDE OPEN
IS NOT THINKIN'
HE'S JUST HOPIN'
Burma Shave
AT INTERSECTIONS
LOOK EACH WAY
A HARP SOUNDS NICE
BUT IT'S HARD TO PLAY
Burma Shave
BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL
EYES ON THE ROAD
THAT'S THE SKILLFUL
DRIVER'S CODE
Burma Shave
THE ONE WHO DRIVES
WHEN HE'S BEEN DRINKING
DEPENDS ON YOU
TO DO HIS THINKING
Burma Shave
CAR IN DITCH
DRIVER IN TREE
THE MOON WAS FULL
AND SO WAS HE.
Burma Shave
PASSING SCHOOL ZONE
TAKE IT SLOW
LET OUR LITTLE
SHAVERS GROW
Burma Shave
Do these bring back any old memories? If not, you're merely a child. If they do -- then you're old as dirt ... LIKE ME!

Bro. Killion's grandson AJ.
Hello dear friends,
I'm not sure if this will work but try the link to see a short slide show of AJ and Kiersten playing in the snow.
AJ and Kiersten in the Snow
AJ went to the doctor again today. Some of you have been praying for him about the "brain malformation" that I mentioned in the TLBC 3rd Q Report.
Some of us have noticed that there are times when AJ seems to space out like he is daydreaming and it is hard to get his attention. It turns out that these incidents are small seizures. It is not epilepsy. It is related to the malformation in his brain. Again, this is a thing that is fixable by surgery. The problem is that this type of surgery is done while the patient is awake and the doctor can do the procedures needed based upon the reaction he gets from the patient. AJ is too young at this point for the doctor to be able to understand clearly from the information he gets from the patient during the surgery just exactly what is needed to do the procedure precisely as needed.
So for now they are giving us a DVD with instructions on how to care for AJ in seizure type scenarios. They will also be fitting him with some headgear that will prevent any trauma to the head in case of falling or an accident of some kind. In time they will go ahead and do the surgery that is needed but not for now. Thanks again for thinking of us and this dear little one in your prayers.
