A step closer to 666.

Well, here comes... a new fight over a biometric national ID card -- and if you don’t have the card, you can’t work.

Right now, freedom-stealing statists Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), banding together with other statists from both parties, are scheming to sneak a massive power grab into a new “immigration reform” bill. This bill is a statist’s dream -- “amnesty” for illegal immigrants and a biometric ID card for virtually everyone else. That’s right. Instead of controlling the border and enforcing the rule of law, these statists want to control you.

That’s why it’s vital you sign the petitions to your Congressman and Senators IMMEDIATELY.

You see, a National ID scheme -- complete with biometric tracking technology -- is embedded in the new “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill” being pushed by Senators Graham and Schumer, as well as other Big Government members from both parties.
And if passed, the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill” would require a new National ID card that would:
*** Include biometric identification information, such as fingerprints, retinal scans or scans of veins on the back of hands. Depending on the technology used, the ID card could easily be used as a tracking device;
*** Be required for all U.S. workers regardless of place of birth, and make it illegal for anyone to hold a job in the United States who doesn't obtain the ID card;
*** Require all employers to purchase an “ID scanner” to verify the ID cards with the federal government. Every time any citizen applies for a job, the government would know -- and you can bet it’s only a matter of time until “ID scans” will be required to make even routine purchases, as well.
Of course, the most dangerous part of the bill is the biometric tracking technology which would allow federal bureaucrats to track our every move.
Allowing our government to have this much “prying power” in our lives will ultimately result in the TOTAL loss of freedom.

This is exactly the type of battle that often decides whether a country remains free, or continues down a slide toward tyranny.

Government goon squads with all our personal information – information they do not need and constitutionally should not have – is a recipe for disaster for our nation. You see, once “well-meaning” government bureaucrats know exactly how we live our lives, it won’t be long until they try to run them. In fact, it will only be a matter of time until they spend their workdays making sure you and I don’t go anywhere we “shouldn’t,” buy anything we “shouldn’t,” read anything we “shouldn’t,” eat anything we “shouldn’t” or smoke anything we “shouldn’t.” You see, this fight isn’t really about immigration.Whatever you think of that fight, it’s simply being used as cover. If there is good news in this fight, thanks to the help of grassroots citizens like you, it’s that we’ve been able to render the Big Government politicians’ REAL ID nearly toothless in more than two dozen states.

Now, the statists are growing nervous. They know Americans are FED UP with their mad rush to take over our health care system, expand Federal Reserve power and regulate and control every aspect of our lives. We’re FED UP with trillion dollar deficits. We’re SICK AND TIRED of radical schemes like Cap and Tax. We’re done with their out of control spending on foreign affairs and nation building all over the globe. They also see that our anger is producing results. Many of their schemes are failing. Rallies are growing in strength. Candidates are rising up in state after state to say “Enough!”

So the statists are trying a bipartisan “backdoor” scheme to impose more control on American citizens. They’re hoping that after months of Big Media mouthpieces decrying the “poisonous and partisan politics” in Washington, the American people will jump for joy at the sight of a Democrat from liberal New York and a Republican from conservative South Carolina “working together to solve our immigration mess.” Well, you and I know better. After all, liberty activists can hardly find two Senators with bigger vendettas against the liberty movement than Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Lindsey Graham. Senator Graham himself has very publicly denounced the limited government REVOLUTION launched by Dr. Ron Paul. He’s stated that we’re not welcome in HIS party. And now, he’s proving why the one who should not be welcome in any party that values freedom is LINDSEY GRAHAM.

That’s why it’s up to you and me to FIGHT back. Unfortunately, the only way to DEFEAT a new National ID card is to contact Americans from coast-to-coast and explain EXACTLY what’s at stake. They’re not going to get the real story from the media. It’s up to you and me to reach them. Already, I’ve prepared email blasts, blog posts and other internet activities to alert liberty-loving Americans to the National ID scheme included in the new “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill.” But that’s not all. Campaign for Liberty staff tells me if I pull out all the stops, there’s an additional twelve million folks I can reach through our mail and phone programs. And finally, if I can raise the resources, I’d also like to run hard-hitting newspaper, radio and TV ads in New York and South Carolina, explaining to the citizens of those states exactly what Senators Schumer and Graham are up to.

With all the battles we’ve faced over the past several months to save AUDIT THE FED and stop ObamaCare, I simply don’t have the resources to do everything.
So please sign the petition and make a most generous contribution of $100, $50 or at least $25 IMMEDIATELY!

You see, this isn’t a fight we can afford to lose. Passage of the National ID card would virtually guarantee the last vestiges of freedom we enjoy as Americans would be seriously jeopardized.
And if you and I don’t defeat it, who will? There is already a strong, “bipartisan coalition” developing, and the American people barely know what’s going on. So I have to ask you -- in addition to your signed petition -- can I count on you for a generous contribution IMMEDIATELY?

Liberal thugs assault conservative

Roy Beck was criminally assaulted Sunday, March 21, on Washington's National Mall by opponents of free speech coordinated by the Service Employees International Union. Roy was there to cover the pro-amnesty march.
S.E.I.U. is the pro-illegal immigration union connected in media accounts with political intimidation and assaults in recent years.

Help NumbersUSA Now

What happened Sunday continues S.E.I.U.'s and its allies' months-long strategy of dogging Roy's every public appearance, trying to shout him down or hounding event organizers to bar him from speaking. We have never tried to deny them their freedom of speech.
But this time the S.E.I.U. went much further. It sent a team of attorneys dressed as "mimes" and S.E.I.U. employees to stalk, push, shove, harass and whistle down Roy and his TV crew for several hours. It was very aggressive, including incitement of the crowd toward violence.
Roy filed criminal assault charges against the mimes and their S.E.I.U. organizers, who spent hours trying to block our webcast. (All of this can be seen and heard on the homepage of NumbersUSA.com.)

When the Federal Park Police finally ordered the S.E.I.U. agitators to move away from Roy and our TV crew, one of the "mimes" took the confrontation to a new low by falsely accusing one of our colleagues of assaulting her -- some three hours after it supposedly took place! The Park Police, acting on the word of the agitators, hand-cuffed and arrested our colleague on the National Mall. (We got him out of custody before the night was over, but he still must fight the pending criminal charge in court!)

reign in the FED

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Trillions of dollars are being stolen from the U.S. taxpayer. Right now, you and I are seeing the worst plundering of a country's wealth in the history of civilization, led by an out of control Federal Reserve. But together you and I CAN put a stop to it all. With your help (including submitting the petition linked below to your Congressman and Senators) today, Representative Ron Paul, Senator Jim DeMint and Campaign for Liberty are ready to fight back, by taking the battle straight to the heart of the problem -- the Federal Reserve itself.

Just think about the scope of the problem for a minute: The massive, outrageous amount of dollars committed to the economic bailouts totals: More than the socialist New Deal ... More than the entire Iraq debacle ... More than the 1980's savings and loan mess ... More than the Korean War ... COMBINED. When will it all end? It's time you and I put a stop to a renegade Federal Reserve by exposing the Fed's out of control actions to the American people. And Congressman Ron Paul and Senator Jim DeMint have a bill before Congress to do just that, known as the "Audit the Fed" Bill (HR 1207 and S 604). That's why it's vital you click here to submit your "Audit the Fed" petition in support of Congressman Paul's bill.

You see, Audit the Fed already has over 300 cosponsors! Now is the time to make sure your Congressman and Senators feel the heat to support the Audit the Fed bill! If you and I don't act today, I'm afraid this crisis will end with the economic ruin of every man, woman and child in America.

Sick um Rob, Sick um!

Our Washington Attorney General was the 5th State Attorney General to file a legal claim against the Federal Government for passing the Health Control Bill. Three Cheers for Rob McKenna!

Rob McKenna, a Republican, says he believes the bill "unconstitutionally imposes new requirements on our state and on its citizens" and that the federal mandate requiring all Washingtonians to buy health insurance violates the Commerce Clause and the 10th Amendment.

Gov. Chris Gregoire, a Democrat, said McKenna does not represent her wishes.
"He has, in my opinion, a duty to consult with me," said Gregoire.
She said she might file a counter suit against McKenna. "He obviously does not represent the majority leader or the speaker and he has a duty to consult with them and he has failed.
"He did not call and consult me," said Gregoire, "I don't know who he represents. He does not represent me."
HA HA HA Ha ha! LOL Ha! ROFL... Now she knows how WE feel.... LJK

McKenna said he does not need Gregoire's "blessing" to file a lawsuit on behalf of the state.

"My role is to defend the State Constitution and the people of the state," said McKenna, "That includes defending the state from inappropriate actions by the federal government."

McKenna says the 10th Amendment protects states from being forced to follow federal laws that are not covered by the U.S. Constitution.

"That's why the federal government has never imposed an auto insurance mandate, has never imposed a drinking age minimum, has never imposed a motorcycle helmet law," said McKenna.

"There's a reason we have checks and balances in our system of government.

"There's a reason that the constitution of this state provides for a separately elected attorney general."

The Governor needs to be reminded of this!

Harry Reid's campaign team, the media, and the National Democrat Party will go through our 1st Quarter FEC report with a fine-toothed comb, looking for any signs of weakness that they can use against us. This report is due in just a few short days, so I'm asking you for immediate action. Can I count on you to rush one urgent gift of $50, $100, $250 to my campaign?

I would not ask if this report wasn't so critically important to defeating Harry Reid this November. Please let me hear from you soon! Thanks again for everything. -- Sue

A Failure

I have to agree with Craig. I sure hope he wins the primary here in Washington State and defeats Senator Patty Murray in November. LJK

House Vote was a Failure for America

Vancouver, WA – Today, U.S. Senate candidate Craig Williams (R) released the following statement concerning the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the massive health care bill 219-216 on Sunday.

“Yesterday's House vote was a failure for America. The health care debate has divided our country and diverted attention from the more fundamental and important fiscal crises at hand. At a time when credit agencies are openly considering downgrading U.S. debt, this massively expensive bill could prove to be the final straw leading to national bankruptcy."

"It is widely aknowledged that Social Security and Medicare have been mismanged by the federal government and are facing future insolvency without large tax increases or program cuts. Despite this fact, Senator Patty Murray has supported spending trillions more to create another national entitlement program which will inevitably result in increased medical costs, decreased quality, and unsustainable increases in the federal deficit and debt." “I support the complete repeal of the entire health care bill and I call upon Senator Murray to begin focusing on reducing spending rather than increasing America's debt burden."

Focus Action

Donate About Us News

Tom Minnery
March 18, 2010

Dear Friend,
I'm writing this on the eve of one of the most historic votes in the history of Congress. It's the one we've all been waiting for—the final vote on health care reform. But whatever that outcome is, the next stage in the battle has only just begun. Now, you and I must hold members of Congress accountable for their vote.

What you accomplished so far
But before we move on to the next part of this momentous struggle, I want to take a moment to thank you for the incredible support that has allowed Focus Action to do more than I ever imagined. All told, we have spent $800,000 to stop this misguided scheme — through broadcasts, e-mails, mailings, online videos, petitions and phone calls. And I couldn't be prouder of how the Focus Action team has so carefully and strategically used each and every dollar.

I've told you before of the huge number of local phone calls—now nearly 120,000—that we have directly connected to targeted congressional offices on this issue. But let me give you an idea of what that looks like. In this last, critical week leading up to the scheduled vote on health care, your support allowed us to target ten crucial representatives whose vote could decide the matter. The direct result is that 17,000 phone calls poured into those offices.

Make adifference in 2010
Help support the work of Focus Action.
If you were able to be in one of those ten offices during that time, you would have literally experienced nearly 80 phone calls per hour ... eight hours a day ... for three days. That's more than a call a minute for three days—in opposition to this huge expansion of abortion funding.
And that's not to mention all of the calls generated by yesterday's daily broadcast. Jim Daly and I named 27 House members and asked our listening audience (estimated at three million weekly) to make phone calls, which contributed to nearly shutting down the Capitol switchboard.

The bottom line is that you—through your generous gifts to Focus Action—played a major role in the most significant Washington battle in decades. Time and again, at key moments, your support and prayers equipped us to make your voice heard. Thank you!
Time to hold them accountable
There's an old saying that there are two seasons in politics: legislative season and campaign season. When the politicians have finished voting on the bills, campaign season begins. That's the time for you and me to hold them accountable. And after all of the secrecy, stunts and parliamentary shenanigans of the past year—on health care alone—lots of accountability is going to be needed!

That's why I'm urgently asking you to help Focus Action hold them accountable with a special gift today. The election may be a few months away, but the accountability work starts right now—while the American people still remember what just happened.
With your help:
Focus Action will contact pro-life people in the districts of certain politicians who voted for health care. Using mail, e-mail and Web sites, we'll make sure they understand how their pro-family values were undermined by their member of Congress.

I'll also be using our resources to identify even more people who share our values in each of these districts ... so we can inform them, too. This can be costly—but is very important and powerful in an election year. In some districts where it makes strategic sense, Focus Action will run advertisements in radio or other media. Or, depending on the state, we'll help local organizations produce and pay for the ads. My mindset is that we don't need to get the credit—we just need to get things done as effectively as possible.

But I really do need your help to get this done ...let's work together to hold politicians accountable for their votes! Focus Action is stretched thin right now after such a costly legislative battle over health care—not to mention all of the other state and federal battles that we're engaged in. Please give as generously as you can so that you and I can take advantage of this opportune moment. Your gift—however small or large—will be promptly put to use to strategically educate and most importantly mobilize like-minded Americans. Thank you for joining us in this crucial effort.

Face on Mars Stamps

In 1990 the country of Sierra Leone printed a limited edition set of stamps to commemorate the exploration of Mars. Only 3,000 sets were released into circulation before the plates were destroyed. The original cost was equivalent to US $135. Today they sell as a novelty.  Promoter Feinstein did not see the results expected when he presented these stamps on the market due to a shut down of the U.S. Space Program.  Feinstein insists that some have sold their stamps at a nice profit.  This investor has never had a decent offer on his.

Here are all five sheets for your viewing enjoyment:

"Face on Mars" Pictures: On 25 July 1976, Viking Orbiter 1 photographed something strange. Are these features of natural origin or not? Visit this site and form your own conclusion about these images from the Cydonia region of Mars.

I have a complete set of these rare stamps if you are interested.

Yes. I am willing to sell.

It was good to have visitors return to our services again this week at TLBC and to have some members that had not attended in some time back too. Brother Turner stood in for Elder Jim Tweet in Seattle while brother Tweet was preaching up in Anchorage, AK. My sermon today was on "The Skeptic" and an outline can be seen HERE.

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life,
I stop and thinkAbout little Jamie Scott.
Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play.
His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it,
though she feared he would not be chosen.
On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school.
Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.
"Guess what, Mom," he shouted,
and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me.....

"I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

Another old issue...

Here we go again...

Banished! City forbids Bible studies in homes.
'This letter will serve as a 10-day written notice to quit such use'

Posted: March 13, 201012:20 am Eastern
By Bob Unruh© 2010 WorldNetDaily

The city of Gilbert, Ariz., has ordered a group of seven adults to stop gathering for Bible studies in a private home because such meetings are forbidden by the city's zoning codes.
The issue was brought to a head when city officials wrote a letter to a pastor and his wife informing them they had 10 days to quit having the meetings in their private home.
The ban, however, prompted a response from the Alliance Defense Fund, which filed an appeal with the city as the first step in its campaign to overturn a provision it describes as illegal.
"The interpretation and enforcement of the town's code is clearly unconstitutional, " said Daniel Blomberg, a member of the litigation team for ADF. "It bans 200,000 Gilbert residents from meeting in their private homes for organized religious purposes – an activity encouraged in the Bible, practiced for thousands of years, and protected by the First Amendment."
The appeal was filed on behalf of the members, all seven, of the Oasis of Truth Church.
Pastor Joe Sutherland had been told in a letter from code compliance officer Steve Wallace that the people were not allowed to meet in a home for church activities under the city's Land Development Code.

There had been no complaints about the meetings, which had been rotating among members' homes before the officer wrote the letter and ordered the group to "terminate all religious meetings … regardless of their size, nature or frequency," because he noticed signs about the meetings. The town interprets its law so that "churches within its borders cannot have any home meetings of any size, including Bible studies, three-person church leadership meetings and potluck dinners," ADF said.

A city letter confirmed, "Given that the church is considered to be religious assembly, and given the LDC provisions prohibiting that use on Local streets without Use Permits and prohibiting it in single family residential structures, it follows that the church meetings cannot be held in the home." "The assembly activities associated with the church, including Bible studies, church leadership meetings and church fellowship activities are not permitted," wrote Mike Milillo, the city's senior planner.

"This ban is defended based upon traffic, parking, and building safety concerns. However, nothing in its zoning code prevents weekly Cub Scouts meetings, Monday Night Football parties with numerous attendees or large business parties from being held on a regular basis in private homes," the ADF said. The few adults in the church had met for a few hours weekly in members' homes. The ADF argues such bans violate the Constitution's free-exercise clause, and even the state's Free Exercise of Religion Act protects such meetings. Further, the restrictions imposed by the city violate the federal Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, which grants significant authority for churches to pursue their ministry goals.
Finally, Blomberg said, "the First Amendment's free-speech clause prevents the town from stopping the church from holding its meetings on the public sidewalk outside the pastor's home, yet the town won't allow him to hold the same meetings just a few feet away in the privacy of his own living room." The small church has been forced to halt its regular meetings. It meets now in a local school but only can afford the rental once a week.

Life or Death

Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) this week to negotiate a possible compromise on abortion-funding, and surprisingly expressed optimism that a deal could be reached to pass President Obama's "health" care bill. Stupak's statements appeared to contradict his previous promises, that he and 12 Democrats would vote against the Senate bill, on which Obama demands a March 18 vote.

"It would have to be a separate bill, you could sidebar it to the final bill," Stupak told MSNBC. "One bill doesn't pass without the other. They walk down the aisle together." Then Stupak told The National Review, that he will not settle for an agreement to pass the Senate bill now and fix the bill's problems on abortion later: "If they say 'we’ll give you a letter saying we'll take care of this later,' that’s not acceptable because later never comes."

But Stupak's surprise meeting with Pelosi confirms the shocking Washington Post report by Marc A. Thiessen entitled "How Pelosi Will Game the Stupak 12," detailing how Pelosi is trying to fool the 12 moderates into passing the current version of the Senate bill with empty promises. "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi must win their votes to pass her bill," Thiessen reports. "The problem for Stupak and his allies is that [Pelosi's] guarantee [to add Stupak's anti-abortion language] is not enough to ensure their position prevails -- because Senate Republicans are gearing up to use something called the 'Byrd rule' to blow up any deal Pelosi cuts to pass health care in the House." So Pelosi cannot keep any promises she makes.

The Senate 'Byrd rule' would sink Stupak's compromise, since it empowers any one Senator to voice an objection to any non-fiscal verbiage in a 'Reconciliation' side-by-side bill, such as Stupak's proposed amendment to reduce abortion coverage. If the Senate Chairman recognizes any voice objection, then 60 pro-life Senate votes would be required to reinstate Stupak's language, when only 45 Senators supported similar language last fall. Pro-abortion Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) has 55 solid votes to flush any side-bill passed by Stupak and Pelosi, causing the Washington Post to rightly conclude:

"The bottom line: Stupak and the blue dog Democrats in the House have no leverage if they go along with Pelosi in a reconciliation strategy. The only way they can ensure that the abortion language and other provisions they oppose are eliminated is to reject reconciliation entirely -- and demand that the House and Senate start over with clean legislation." To this we say, "Amen," but will Stupak cave-in like Sen. Nelson did? Let's encourage the Stupak 12 to "Hold Firm."

Meanwhile pro-abortion Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO), the co-chairwoman of the abortion-rights-supporting caucus, predicted the abortion issue won't stop Obamacare. "I don't think Congressman Stupak has the votes to kill healthcare legislation over his language not being in there," DeGette told The Hill newspaper.

She believes that even if Stupak's 12 moderates hold firm, the vote count is too close to call, because some of the extreme liberals who voted against Pelosi-care the first time (for lacking a clear 'public option') could switch and vote for the Senate version of Obamacare this time around. If DeGette is right, then conservatives will need more than just 12 of the 37 undecided Democrats to defeat Obamacare now.

We're the only ones reporting the names of the 25 undecideds in red below and 12 pro-Stupak swing votes in blue below (37 total undecided Dems and 1 Republican, Cao) who voted WITH STUPAK to reduce abortion funding, but then also voted WITH PELOSI to pass socialism in H.R. 3692. We need just a handful of these 37 to switch votes and stand firm against President Obama and Harry Reid's pro-abortion amendments. If they stand firm against abortion, we can stop the entire socialist "health" bill in its tracks.

Please make time today to call the 37 Congressmen listed below at 202-225-3121 or 202-224-3121 and tell each "you are not pro-life unless you oppose entirely President Obama and Harry Reid's pro-abortion amendments, and we are watching your vote." Or if you don't have time to make 37 calls, you can
save time by simply signing our fax-petiton, and WE WILL FAX your petition to all 52 "Blue-Dog" Democrats...

WE NEED JUST A HANDFUL OF THESE 37 CONGRESSMEN TO SWITCH. PLEASE CALL ALL 37 TODAY: Baca, Berry, Bishop (GA), Cao, Cardoza, Carney, Cooper, Costa, Costello, Cuellar, Dahlkemper, Davis (IL), Donnelly (IN), Doyle, Driehaus, Ellsworth, Etheridge, Kanjorski, Kaptur, Kildee, Langevin, Lipinski, Lynch, Oberstar, Obey, Ortiz, Perriello, Pomeroy, Rahall, Reyes, Rodriguez, Ryan (OH), Salazar, Snyder, Space, Spratt, Stupak, Wilson (OH) ...Call 202-225-3121 (or 224-3121) asking for each, 37 times, and tell them to vote against Harry Reid's "health" amendment to H.R.3590.

Don't have time to make 37 phone calls?
SIGN OUR FAX-PETITION and we will fax your petition
to all 52 "Blue-Dog" Democrats automatically. We save you time...

On Fox News last Thursday, Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) warned the White House that at least 12 of the 37 Democrats (who had previously voted for Pelosi-care) may now switch and vote against the Senate version of Obama-care, because of its massive abortion funding increases. This proves our fax campaign to 37 undecided Democrats is really making a difference, but the vote-count is still too close to call. "My intent is not to hold up this legislation," Stupak said, "My intent is to keep current law. Eight different pieces of legislation currently say no public funding for abortion. That's all we’re saying...There's a principle and a belief that the American people agree with which says no public funding for abortion, and that's a principle and a belief I'll continue to fight for...In my eyes [President Obama] has to be a little more flexible, especially on this issue of no public funding for abortion." Stupak demands President Obama be flexible, but does anyone really believe Obama is "flexible" enough to reverse his recent demands for increased abortion funding?

On CBS News, Stupak reminded the White House of President Obama's broken promise. "I heard the President say, when he addressed the nation on September 9th, there would be no federal dollars for abortion. We're going to [require him to] honor that pledge. And as long as he has no federal dollars for abortion, we're in pretty good shape." But since the Senate version of the bill massively funds abortion, Stupak and a dozen friends may vote against it. Yet how will the other 25 undecideds, and all 52 Blue-Dog Democrats vote? If House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) can bribe or twist enough arms, we could still lose.

Stupak and babies need help to defeat Obamacare. Our petitions are changing history...

An eye witness

What a wonderful day it was today in the House of the Lord. My sermon this morning was entitled "Surprise!" and you can view it on our church website frontpage click here.

An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December, many years ago:

A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold. A lady approached the young boy and said, "My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!" "I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the boy's reply. The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her. She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel. By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, you will be more comfortable now." As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her ."Are you God's wife?"

How to fix it...

A friend sent this along to me. I can't think of a reason to disagree. I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010".. It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights..

I know many of you will say, "this is impossible". Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress - the entity that represents us. We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American heros.
Thanks, A Fellow American

WE know best STUPID

Congressman Bart Stupak issued the following statement about the Nelson-Boxer compromise: "While I appreciate the efforts of all the parties involved, especially Senator Ben Nelson, the Senate abortion language is not acceptable. A review of the Senate language indicates a dramatic shift in federal policy that would allow the federal government to subsidize insurance policies with abortion coverage. Further, the segregation of funds to pay for abortion is another departure from current policy prohibiting federal subsidy of abortion coverage." Stupak is now asking for help to lobby his fellow Blue-Dog Democrats in the House to stop the bill entirely.

Please call both your Senators and your Congressman today at 202-224-3121 today and tell them "You are not pro-life unless you filibuster abortion, and oppose and filibuster the entire Obama-Reid plan to kill children with our tax-dollars. Abortion isn't health care."

Then please join our fax-campaign, and we will fax your petition to all 100 Senators and all 52 "Blue-Dog" Democrats...WE ONLY NEED A HANDFUL OF THE 52 BLUE-DOGS TO STAND THEIR GROUND, AND WE CAN STOP THE ENTIRE BILL!
