Will the Supreme Court seek to edit prayers offered at official public meetings? Will it find such meetings a forum for private citizens to offer constitutionally protected prayers, or claim judges must make theological decisions regarding the acceptability of different prayers? And if edited, would that not conflict with the free exercise and establishment clauses of the First Amendment – which make clear it is not the business of government to regulate the content of prayer OR regulate theological orthodoxy.

Thanks to the rabid Americans United for Separation of Church and State, long-time allies with the hard Left in their relentless quest to extirpate religion from our nation's life – public praying in the name of Jesus is a right being debated, again, before the Supreme Court.

Not that they actually have ANYTHING under the Constitution to say about this unalienable, natural FULLY PROTECTED right…

But surprisingly, given Obama's campaign to drive Christianity out of our military and our school programs, his Solicitor General filed a brief supporting the Town of Greece against the atheists…

Conservatives in Congress have recently successfully defeated funding for ATHEIST CHAPLAINS – an oxymoron as a chaplain is a minister of faith – in our nation's military, but we have yet to get Barack Hussein Obama to halt his attack on religious liberty and get Congress to commit to defending and upholding our Christian soldiers' First Amendment rights of free exercise of faith.

At this very moment, Christian chaplain Lt. Col. Kenneth Reyes, currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, is being officially censored for fulfilling his commission, and for engaging in his constitutionally guaranteed right to freely exercise his religious faith.

His offense: Writing and posting an essay entitled, "No Atheists in Foxholes: Chaplains Gave All in World War II."

Reyes didn't post his essay randomly around base. Or distribute it en masse to the enlisted men stationed when he is assigned to serve their spiritual needs.

He posted it on his page on the base website called "Chaplain's Corner."

And anti-Christian activists are demanding he be punished for it.

ObamaCare Is A Fraud. It's Time To Remove The Perpetrator From Office.

Liberty Lawsuit

 Supreme Court Declines To Take Liberty University's Obamacare Lawsuit - AP

The Supreme Court has turned away a Christian university's attempt to overturn a 

key part of the Obama administration's health care law.

The justices did not comment Monday in leaving in place a federal appeals court ruling 

dismissing Liberty University's lawsuit.

Liberty made several arguments in challenging the portion of the health care law that 

requires most employers to provide health insurance to their workers or pay a fine. 

The 4th U.S. Circuit of Appeals in Richmond, Va., rejected those claims.

The Supreme Court separately is considering whether for-profit corporations can 

mount religious objections to the law's requirement to include birth control among

Barack Obama is committed to vetoing Congress' efforts to allow Americans to keep their health insurance plans.

A recent executive memo states: "If presented with: Keep Your Health Plan Act H.R. 3350 the President would veto the bill."

It's not often Obama threatens a veto, so it's obvious that he's scared. In fact, his issuing such a notice tells us he assumes that both chambers will pass the legislation.

Seeing that 39 Democrats helped pass H.R. 3350 in the House, it's likely Democrats can be won in the Senate.

This is exactly our task.

We need to win Senate co-sponsors for S. 1617 and demand Harry Reid to place the bill on the calendar.

On November 15, the House of Representatives passed the "Keep Your Health Plan Act" 261 to 157 to protect existing health insurance plans from Obamacare.

With Obama recently reversing his "if you like your healthcare plan / you can keep your healthcare plan" pledge, it's crucial that we demand U.S. Senators to join the House.

Simply, the "Keep Your Health Plan Act" would reduce the federal government's heavy hand by allowing Americans to keep the health care plans they have right now.

A simple two-page bill, the Act would modify sections of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and allow insurance companies to "grandfather" existing healthcare plans.

No Guns for Veterans

Dear Larry,

Obama and his allies are coming after the gun rights of  America's veterans.  If they succeed in disarming vets  across this country, we will no longer be a free people  and will be much less safe as a nation, from threats both  foreign and domestic!  Let me explain why. A handful of RINOs have decided to join Obama and  they have been very, very quietly trying to sneak a gun- grabbing bill through the House. In fact, these liberal Republicans have resurrected the  bill that you defeated in the Senate back in April, but this  time they've expanded it to take away the Second  Amendment rights of veterans! This is Imam Obama's latest attack on our military. This  man plans to render the US defenseless by continually  castigating our Christians and stigmatizing our soldiers  (both active duty and retired). How are we going to get our young men and women to  join the armed forces if they know that they will be forever  labeled as dangerous terrorists and criminals by the  government?  The answer is, we will not. That is why it is so vitally important for us to defeat this bill aimed at veterans' gun rights.

The bill is HR 1565, sponsored by Rep. Pete King (R-NY), and it is falsely labeled the "Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act of 2013." Obama's Department of Homeland Security already labels veterans as terrorists, but this bill goes further than name-calling.  If it passes, ANY veteran who identifies as a conservative can have his or her gun rights stripped away in the blink of an eye. We MUST stop this bill in the Veterans Affairs Committee! Please send your FaxGrams today and tell them to vote NO on HR 1565!

Both Obama and Joe Biden have repeatedly said this year  that they plan to, "Get the job done" when it comes to  passing a gun-grabbing bill. Rep. Pete King and his RINO allies have already gathered  185 co-sponsors for this bill. They're just 33 votes shy of  a majority to pass it - and they say they want to pass it this year! We have to stop this one, folks, and we have to do it now! Here's what HR 1565 will do to the gun rights of veterans  if they succeed in passing it. Obama's Secretary of Veterans' Affairs, Eric Shinseki,  will have the power to label any conservative veteran  as "mentally incompetent" and take away their guns.  Remember, Shinseki is no friend of conservatives. He has  fought tooth and nail to pay spousal benefits to the unmarried homosexual partners of military members.  He wouldn't lose  any sleep at night by labeling Christian vets as "mentally   incompetent."  And once a veteran goes on Obama's list,  they are banned from ever purchasing a firearm for personal  defense - an act which has God's blessing (see Exodus 22:2). It gets even worse than that! The Department of Veterans' Affairs will be required to set up  a publicly-accessible website which lists the names of all of  these "mentally incompetent" veterans. No veteran will be able to get a job once they are falsely  labeled as mentally incompetent and placed on Obama's  "don't sell them guns" list! Folks, the fact is, there has only been ONE mass shooting in  America in the last 45 years that involved a non-Muslim veteran  - and that conveniently happened right when Obama was running  for re-election. Our veterans are not a threat! Please stand up for the rights of veterans today and tell Congress to reject HR 1565! Our vets have a God-given and constitutional right to own personal firearms for protection! These politicians are smearing our vets as a threat to public  safety and trying to take their guns away based on ONE incident. They want us to ignore the thousands of incidents where armed  veterans saved lives here in America. For example, a veteran  stopped an in-progress mass shooting in 1996 in Pearl,  Mississippi.  Another vet stopped an armed robbery in  Missouri two months ago by shoving his PPX 9 pistol in the  robber's mouth (Go vets!).

Incidents like these happen all the time in America, but they are smearing our vets and pretending they're a threat. If they disarm our vets, they will be able to disarm everyone else! Not only that, but this bill will still require the creation of a federal registry of all gun owners, just like the Senate bill that we defeated a few months ago. We have to stop them! Our veterans have fought to preserve the Second Amendment and now the government is trying to take that right away from them.  Veterans are often the first line of defense against criminals in our cities and it has always been this way (See Nehemiah 4:13-14). Despite his oath before God and the American people four years ago to "faithfully discharge" his official duties, Attorney General Eric Holder has done the opposite.

Mr. Holder has violated the law.

With 19 original co-sponsors, House Resolution 411 contains four articles of impeachment, charging Eric Holder for:

• failing to enforce laws such as the Defense of Marriage Act, the Controlled Substance Act, and the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 despite his official oath to "faithfully discharge the duties of the office";
• refusing to indict IRS workers associated with the unlawful disclosure of tax records and targeting individuals based upon their political views; and,
• lying under oath before Congress on May 15, 2013 regarding the Justice Department's investigation of the press.

Despite the House's decision last summer placing the Attorney General in contempt of Congress - an action never before taken against a sitting cabinet member in our history - Eric Holder continues to stonewall Congress and withhold the truth.

As Resolution co-sponsor Rep. Ted Yoho says, Congress must take "drastic action" against the Attorney General:

"The Attorney General's blatant disregard for the law has brought us to this point. Officials should be held accountable to the citizens they serve and it is our duty to bring that accountability back to government. It is time we restore justice to the very department that shares its name."

With Eric Holder responsible for obstructing justice, aiding money laundering operations, and furnishing Mexican drug cartels with thousands of weapons -- sharing responsibility for the death of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexicans - it's high time for Congress to charge and convict him for his crimes and remove him from office!

I am one who steers very clear of tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. I often believe 

progressives plant stories in order to distract and disrupt, enabling them to pursue 

their true goals and objectives. That’s why I stress the importance of staying 

focused on the modern liberal socialist policies of the Obama administration, 

not the sideshow antics.

However, as a former combat commander, I have been trained to look for trends. 

And I believe we’ve found a very disturbing one. it seems that back door gun control 

is in full effect in the United States. Why? Thanks to Obama’s Environmental 

Protection Agency (EPA), we can no longer smelt lead from ore in the United States.

The first contact the EPA made with The Doe Run Lead Smelter in Herculaneum,  

Missouri (population 2,800) was in 2008 but it was in 2010 that the EPA finally 

forced Doe Run to plan a shut down. This plant has been in operation since 1892 

but will finally close its doors this month. It was the last lead smelting plant in the US.

It is always a blessing to attend the worship services of a true New

Testament Congregation of the Lord Jesus Christ like TLBC.  Services today began with Brother Turner taking the Sunday School hour and reading another portion from the Book "Lets Study Revelation" by Elder EG Cook.  click here  Pastor's morning sermon was "What Do YOU Think?" click here  We had another wonderful family style dinner at the noon hour for those that could stay and in the afternoon service, Pastor read a chapter from his book "25 of the Greatest Sermons Ever Preached."  We enjoyed the sermon "Payday Someday" by RG Lee.  click here

Yes, we are all still in the afterglow of a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.  It was great to have all the family over for our Thanksgiving  Celebration.  Marion's sister, Hedy, in Germany was asking her by email all about the special holiday that they and the rest of the world know little about.  Unfortunately, even in America now days most folks have forgotten what Thanksgiving is all about.  My sermon in church last Lord's Day touched on this topic and gave a little history on the holiday.  Click HERE for the audio of that lesson.  We played a nice cartoon video DVD for the grand-kids to help reinforce for them what Thanksgiving in America is about. 

We took several pictures this year and will post some here to share a little bit of our holiday and Marion will help me with the commentary.  We of course went shopping big time ahead of time and did some preliminary preparation.  The day before, my grand-son Bailey came over and helped Opa set up extra tables and chairs. Both Cindi and Tammy helped Oma with preparation and cleanup afterwards.  We usually have so much food left over that we have an additional day of family fellowship on Friday too.  That has become a tradition at our house.

 Marion has decorated one of her kitchen walls with memories from some of our trips to our condo in Kauai.

 The pictures and brochures are strategically located around the map on the wall to show the general location of the places on the island.  

 One of the recipes of a delicious orange flavored cheese cake that is a requested repeat desert even better than the traditional pumpkin pie.  

Home made dinner rolls are always a big hit - especially when they are fresh out of the oven and the butter is melting in them.

 Marion has saved an old chart from a former feast that helps to remember the time needed to thaw a frozen turkey and how many hours are needed in the oven at what temperature for certain weights of turkey stuffed and un-stuffed. 

 One of the several basting moments.  The aroma in the house on Thanksgiving day is heavenly.  Marion is usually up and at it as early as 4AM. 

 This year Kiersten and Andrum brought some Pilgrim and Indian friends with them and we have decided to have them back again next year and the next, and the next etc.  Lord willing.

 Internal temperature is 180F and that means it is done all through and through and after it sets and rests for a few minutes it is time to start carving.  

 Gravy, extra stuffing, vegetables, going on the stove top and the dinner rolls are ready for the oven.

 Table is just about ready and Bailey is lighting some candles. 

We had a Thanksgiving Prayer Poem with parts for everyone that we read as we sat down for the meal. 

Can you tell the grand-kids were hungry?  

The next day, Friday, we had another wonderful family day.  Aunt Dea even came over to be with us.  This is Tammy and her talking jewelry.  Uncle Wally is down in Phoenix visiting his brother Sam.

Thanksgiving II.  Or leftover day or the Friday Feast.... A tradition we have adopted that I really, really like.  Try it with YOUR family.  I think you will like it too.

It is hard to remember to save room for desert.
