Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Pray for our Nation.

I saw this link from the Catholic Church the other day to remind people to VOTE and I thought it was very well done.

http://www.catholicvote.com/

There are some links with examples of prayers for Catholics to pray on the page but I am not Catholic so I won'tbe praying to the virgin Mary but I will be praying for our country and the 2008 election. Please join in with me daily until the polls close and the voting ends on election day.

Dear Heavenly Father, Please hear the prayer of every heart in America that cries out for a change from the culture of death and give us grace to renew again the Culture of Life.

Father, reclaim this land for the glory of Thy Son. Look down with mercy and touch our hearts. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that come with human freedom. Free us as a nation from the falsehoods that lead to abortion and other ungodly evils. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim God’s law as the True Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We have sinned against thee and confess that we don't deserve the least of thy favor but we ask that You hear our prayer because of Thy only begotten Son Who gave Himself for us and shed His blood to wash away our sin. It is in His precious name that we ask it, AMEN.

1 Tim 2:55 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;(KJV)

I preached this morning on "How To Have Wisdom" and the sermon outline is on the front page of the TLBC website Click Here
