LIKE BIG DADDY in D.C. -
Spending by the Democrats in Olympia is out of control.

Total budgeted spending is set to increase by some $3 billion for 2011–13.

This builds on increases of:

$2.4 billion for 2009–11,

$8 billion for 2007–09

$7 billion for 2005–07

Since 1999–01 --Total budgeted spending has increased 66%.

Below are recommendations from the Washington Policy Center

· Adopt performance-based, Priorities of Government budgeting to control the rate of spending growth and create more sustainable budgeting.
· Place requirements for performance outcomes directly into the budget.
· Require that updated four-year budget forecasts be tied to quarterly revenue forecasts or to the adoption of a new budget.
· Adopt a 72-hour budget timeout.
· Require that completed fiscal notes be made available before bills can be acted on.
· Permanently repeal unaffordable programs instead of temporarily suspending them
· Provide the governor with discretionary authority to cut spending when revenues fall short of projected amounts.
· Set aside a five percent reserve when adopting the biennial budget.

We need to elect a Republican Governor, three more Republican State Senators and 8 more Republican State Representatives. 12 in 12

Bottom Line: Let’s keep reminding voters of these over-spending Democrats

28 weeks until the Nov 6, 2012 General Election
6 weeks to State Convention—May 30, 2012
