We all know now ObamaCare will
result in the biggest tax increase in US history.
74% of that tax increase will fall
on those making $120,000 or less per year.
Lets just look at Obama’s Medicaid
mandate and how it will affect Washingtonians.
Background (Sourced from Government and Washington Policy
Center data)
Washington State impact
- Washington State will pay 50% of Medicaid costs
- Potential of 400,000 new Medicaid participants
- Potential budget increase for Washington State $1.8 billion due to new Medicaid participants
- Additionally Washington State has already taken a federal grant of $137 million to start ObamaCare, employing 200 new state employees
- Washington State is on the hook for paying for all these new 200 administrators which will represent an additional state cost of $20 million annually
Bottom
line: If Obama-Care prevails, Washingtonians are looking at
radically more state spending which will result in less funding for education and
all other services; more pressure to increase taxes and less access for those
who truly need help for medical care.
Please keep your fellow voters informed. We all need to ask ourselves how we can help and then make it happen!
