Reason #28 to Defeat Barack Obama: Obama’s Pro-Abortion Foreign Policy   With the American flag under attack, today is an excellent day to examine how the Obama Administration has shamefully represented that flag to the majority of nations around the world which are pro-life.  America’s respect as a nation that stands for human rights depends on its actions, and in the eyes of many overseas, Obama’s actions on the issue of abortion have cost this country dearly. For example, one of Obama’s very first acts on becoming President was to give millions of dollars to organizations that actively undermine the pro-life cultures and laws of nations like those in Catholic Latin America and pro-life Africa. These societies hold as one of their most deeply held beliefs that an unborn child is a precious and inviolable member of the human family.  They believe unborn children are a treasure and have an inherent right to life. They are appalled that an American government would not only act as if their children do not have a basic right to life, but further, that our government would give money to groups like International Planned Parenthood who kill the unborn and who actively work to overturn pro-life laws overseas so that millions more might be killed.  But the Obama Administration’s attacks on unborn babies and their mothers overseas didn’t stop there. Asked whether U.S. advocacy for “reproductive health” overseas includes abortion, Obama’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated her “strongly held view” that it was the Administration’s right to advocate “anywhere in the world” and that “an important part of women’s health and reproductive health includes access to abortion . . .” Early in his presidency, Obama decided to give our taxpayer dollars to the United Nations Population Fund, which is closely linked to China’s brutal population control program that includes forced abortions.  Last year, Vice President Joe Biden told an audience at a university in China that he wouldn’t “second-guess” that program: “Your policy,” Biden said, “has been one which I fully understand – I’m not second-guessing – of one child per family.” It’s time the American people second-guess the foreign policy of an Administration that puts more effort into expanding abortion overseas than it does into protecting life. On November 6th, Americans will decide which foreign and domestic policies will guide this country for the next four years:  policies that respect life here and abroad; or those that push abortion on our fellow citizens and our neighbors abroad.
