Americans mourned a military legend after retired Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday at age 78, leaving behind a legacy that most famously included driving Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait.

Schwarzkopf died, in Tampa, from complications from pneumonia. He was remembered not only for his impressive military record, but his intelligence, his modesty and his warmth and dedication to fellow servicemembers.

"His epitaph should read that he was a soldier who loved solders," retired Gen. Bob Scales, who knew the late general, told Fox News.

Nicknamed "Stormin' Norman," Schwarzkopf went on after he retired to support various national causes and children's charities while eschewing the spotlight and resisting efforts to draft him to run for political office.

He lived out a quiet retirement in Tampa, where he'd served his last military assignment and where an elementary school bearing his name is testament to his standing in the community.

Schwarzkopf capped an illustrious military career by commanding the U.S.-led international coalition that drove Hussein's forces out of Kuwait in 1991...

Support Our Troops in Afghanistan

Remember we have over 68,000 troops still fighting in Afghanistan during the cold winter months. A care package from Move America Forward is a great way to show your appreciation and gratitude to the troops who are over there sacrificing.

Christmas just passed us by, but remember that for troops overseas who are away from their families, the holidays can actually be the loneliest time of the year.

Don't let our troops be forgotten this holiday season, send a care package sponsored through Move America Forward full of goodies.

As we come to the end of another year, let us take some time to look back on what we accomplished in 2012. Here are three things that happened in 2012 that Move America Forward took part in, and will remember as we look forward to supporting our troops in 2013.

In January 2012 the story first broke about the Marines who were in trouble for urinating on a corpse of a Taliban fighter who was trying to kill them. The liberal press tried to get sympathy for the Taliban who kill innocent women and children.

The liberal media went after the Marines and called for them to be court-martialled and brought up on charges of war crimes. The pundits tried to vilify them, but MAF stepped forward to defend the Marines.

In February this past year we also had the pleasure of being in Las Vegas with our good friend Robert Davi for the premier of his live show Davi Sings Sinatra.

Robert Davi is a selfless patriot who has helped us on our Troopathon fundraisers every year now, and he dedicated to proceeds from his concert to help troops overseas. MAF sent emails promoting show, which sold out 3 nights!

Congrats Robert!

In one of the most saddening events of the whole year, we lost our good friend Andrew Breitbart on March 1st, 2012. It was a sudden and devastating shock to the entire conservative, pro-troop community.

Andrew was a good friend to all of us here at Move America Forward. He was instrumental in making our Troopathons a success and he helped put the show on every year. So we dedicated Troopathon 5 to his memory.

Start 2013 on the Right Foot by Helping our Troops

Today we're looking back on 2012 and all the great things you did along with Move America Forward to help support our troops. But remember that there are still troops out there who still need more support!

Let's finish 2012 and start out 2013 with a HUGE shipment of care packages to our troops in Afghanistan. They need our support now as much as ever!
