2013 Idaho Conference

Another Great Bible Conference
Well, the Devil tried to discourage us while preparing to go to Idaho for the Bible conference this year but every time the serpent did something like give us car trouble, the LORD saw to it that it was only minor (like out of gas but at a gas station).

The trip over went well and we really enjoyed the target practice on Thursday the 4th and the outstanding fireworks display in Bonners Ferry that night.  Conference started great Friday night with Elder Perry Ames on Jude 3 & The Old Fashioned Faith the Elder Andy Proctor from N.C. on 1Cor.15:51-57. & Victory thru Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The food and fellowship were excellent as usual.  Saturday morning it was Elder Jim Turner on Isa.65:1 & Our Narrow-minded God and Elder Mike Prater from Granite Bay, Cal. On Ps.150:1-6. & Let Us Praise Him, then Elder Jim Tweet on Phil.3:7-11 & Be Found in Him.  After lunch, Elder Al Malo from Oblong, Ill. Preached on Isa.59:5-8 & Snake Eggs, Spider Webs and Traffic Jams, then yours truly preached from Rev. 12:3 & Satan’s Substitutes.  There was a nice break in the action for the rest of the day to be well rested for services on the Lord’s Day.  Pastor Paul Sandelin did a fine job of keeping things rolling well and the church members all worked like a fine tuned machine.

Sunday morning Elder David O’Neal spoke on Rev.4:6-11 & He is Worthy – Glory to God.  As usual at events like this on the last day, there was an abundance of special messages in song.  (Heavenly)  Elder Ted Tweet preached on Gen.2:16-17 & Are You Ready to Die?  Then it was Elder Matt Stepp from Wayne W.V. on Ex.2:23-25 & What Is Your Daily Hope?  After lunch, Elder Justin Meyers from Centerburg, OH. closed out the conference with Amos 3:3 & Agreement with God.

All speakers greatly appreciated the accommodations provided for them by the Bible Believers Baptist Church in Naples, Idaho.  What a gracious congregation and loving Pastor and his family.  Sister Marion did an excellent job of driving over and back to the meeting.  I rode shotgun and tended the cooler and coffee thermos.  Almost all of the TLBC flock from Tacoma were able to be there this year.  We stuck a sign on the door of our church house saying “Gone Fishing for Men in Idaho.  All services canceled until 7PM July 10, 2013.  A quick tour by the property today showed all things were in order.

Yours in the old landmarks by sovereign grace,

Larry J. Killion, Pastor
