AIR FORCE VETERAN REFUSES TO
AFFIRM HOMOSEXUALITY… LOSES JOB
Obama STILL Blocking Religious Liberty
Amendment to the National Defense
Authorizations Act, H.R. 1960
DEMAND CONGRESS OPPOSE TYRANNY AND
OVERRIDE OBAMA'S VETO
URGENT: Barack Obama's new "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy for Christians – or quite frankly anyone who believes homosexuality is WRONG – is making its presence felt among our men and women in uniform.
The latest casualty: a 19-year Air Force veteran who refused to affirm homosexual behavior.
Openly adhering to the pro-gay platform has NEVER been a requirement for anyone to serve in our armed services… WE MUST NOT LET OBAMA AND HIS SICK ANYTHING-FOR-THE-GAY AGENDA PERSECUTE CHRISTIANS IN THE MILITARY!
Senior Master Sergeant Charles Monk, who recently returned from deployment and was serving as a first sergeant at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, was FIRED for refusing to help his new openly homosexual commander punish an Air Force instructor over comments made about same-sex marriage.
"I was relieved of my position because I don't agree with my commander's position on gay marriage," Monk said. "We've been told that if you publicly say that homosexuality is wrong, you are in violation of Air Force policy."
Monk recalled in an interview with Fox News' Todd Starnes that he knew he would have problems with his in-your-face lesbian superior. . "In one of our first meetings, she was talking about her promotion and she mentioned something about a benediction," Monk told Fox News. "She said she wanted a chaplain but objected to one particular chaplain that she called a 'bigot' because he preached that homosexuality is a sin. She then said, 'I don't know what kind of people actually believe that kind of crap.' I knew I was going to have a rough time in this unit and I would have to be very careful about what I said."
But Monk didn't say anything wrong… he simply refused to jump on the punish-the-Christian bandwagon and LOST HIS JOB FOR IT.
The Air Force instructor in question was accused of making derogatory comments again homosexuals – except when Monk looked into it, he couldn't find anything worthy of punishment.
The instructor had simply compared the United States to the doomed ancient Roman Empire and expressed his concern over it.
"He said in spite of our differences, we can't let that happen to the United States," Monk recalled, adding that the instructor "used homosexual marriage as an example, saying that he didn't believe in it, but it doesn't matter because he was going to train them the same way."
The lesbian superior saw red over this.
"Her very first reaction was to say, 'We need to lop off the head of this guy,'" Monk recalled. "The commander took the position that his speech was discrimination."
And then she took offense when Monk suggested the incident be used as an opportunity to teach the importance of tolerating diverse opinions… "I don't believe someone having an opinion for or against homosexuality is discriminatory," Monk told Fox News.
Monk's commander then demanded that he affirm the homosexual lifestyle… "She said, 'Sgt. Monk, I need to know if you can, as my first sergeant, if you can see discrimination if somebody says that they don't agree with homosexual marriage,'" he recalled.
Because of his conscience, he couldn't. And he was fired for it.
"As a matter of conscience I could not answer the question the way the commander wanted me to," he told Fox. "I was essentially fired for not validating my commander's position on having an opinion about homosexual marriage," he said warning that Obama's military policy is replacing ALL aspects of free speech.
"If this young man had given a speech and said he was good with homosexuality, we wouldn't be here," he explained. "The narrative is that you cannot say anything that contradicts Air Force policy."
"Christians have to go into the closet," he said. "We are being robbed of our dignity and respect. We can't be who we are."
Another case of anti-Christian discrimination in the Air Force: Earlier this year a 27-year veteran of the Utah Air National Guard was told to prepare for retirement over an email he wrote criticizing same-sex weddings at a West Point chapel.
"This is wrong on so many levels," Air Force Sergeant Layne Wilson wrote to a person he thought was a West Point chaplain concerning a gay "wedding" ceremony. "If they wanted to get married in a hotel that is one thing. Our base chapels are a place of worship and this is a mockery to God and our military core values. I have proudly served 27 years and this is a slap in the face to us who have put our lives on the line for this country. I hope sir that you will take appropriate action so this does not happen again."
It made its way to West Point's Commandant of Cadets who took it to the Utah Air National Guard which in turn terminated Wilson's six-year re-enlistment agreement and pushed for his early retirement.
Earlier this summer the Family Research Council reported an alarming pattern of hostility against religious expression in our armed forces. FRC president Tony Perkins said that in a military culture where Christians are increasingly being targeted as extremists, "the pressure to impose a secular culture on our nation's military has intensified tremendously during President Obama's time as commander-in-chief."
Enraged at Congress' attempts to rein him in, Barack Hussein Obama earlier this summer issued a Statement of Administration Policy (SAP) on H.R. 1960, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014, in which the White House SPECIFICALLY OBJECTS to defending the rights of conscience of our soldiers!
CONGRESS MUST BE COMPELLED TO PASS H.R. 1960 WITH THE FLEMING FREEDOM OF RELIGION AMENDMENT!
AND SHOULD OBAMA DARE VETO, CONGRESS MUST HAVE THE SPINE TO OVERRIDE IT!
HEARING YOU, Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) passed an amendment in the House Armed Services Committee to protect the First Amendment Freedom of Religion of our soldiers! In light of the increasing and openly hostile attacks on military chaplains and other Christian service members, who dare invoke God, share their faith or in the case of one Air Force officer last month, have a BIBLE ON THEIR DESKS, Congress MUST ACT!
In this case, the officer was told to remove the Bible because it might give the impression he was endorsing religion…
Needless to say, the committee found this Amendment NECESSARY to defend our soldiers' constitutional rights – NOW OBAMA IS DETERMINED TO VETO SUCH FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTIONS FOR OUR BATTLE-WEARY TROOPS!
Obama's anti-Christian SAP reads:
Expansion and Implementation of Protection of Rights of Conscience of Members of the Armed Forces and Chaplains of Such Members: The Administration strongly objects to section 530, which would require the Armed Forces to accommodate, except in cases of military necessity, "actions and speech" reflecting the "conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the member." By limiting the discretion of commanders to address potentially problematic speech and actions within their units, this provision would have a significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.
It continues:
"…if the bill is presented to the President for approval in its current form, the President's senior advisers would recommend that the President veto the bill."
YOU READ THAT RIGHT!
Obama says he WILL VETO any bill forbidding administration appointees or officers from restricting our soldiers' First Amendment rights!
"With its statement, the White House is now endorsing military reprimands of members who keep a Bible on their desk or express a religious belief," Fleming told Fox News. "This administration is aggressively hostile towards religious beliefs that it deems to be politically incorrect."
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission Ken Blackwell told Breitbart News:
President Obama is waging a war on religion. He and Chuck Hagel are denying the most basic rights to those who put their lives on the line to protect all of our rights. It is shameful and appalling. I am confident that congressional leadership will show courage to stand up for our troops against this radical assault on religious liberty in the military.
But we all know that Congress does not take a stand on anything UNLESS THEY HEAR FROM YOU!
In his radio address Starnes noted the following by no means all-inclusive sampling of the recent freedom of religion violations of our soldiers:
  • The Air Force censored "God" in a video created by a chaplain. (The Air Force feared "God" might offend Muslims and atheists.)
  • For expressing his faith's religious position about homosexuality in a personal religious blog, a service member received a "severe and possibly career-ending reprimand."
  • A senior military official at Fort Campbell instructed his officers via email to recognize "the religious right in America" as a "domestic hate group" likening conservative Christians to the KKK and Neo-Nazis because of its opposition to homosexual behavior. (This is similar to the Pennsylvania Army Reserve training where our soldiers were told that Roman Catholics, evangelicals and Mormons are "religious extremists" of the same brand as AL QAEDA AND HAMAS!)
  • A chaplain was relieved of his command over a military chapel for not allowing same-sex weddings in the chapel, even though refusal is in accord with the DOMA federal law definition of marriage!
MAKE NO MISTAKE: WE DO NOT HAVE TO TOLERATE THE OBAMA-HAGEL ANTI-CHRISTIAN 'CLEANSING' OF OUR TROOPS WHETHER UNDER THE LIES OF NOT OFFENDING THE ISLAMISTS – OR THE GODLESS P.C. LIBERALS WHO DEFEND THEM AS 'VICTIMS' OF DISCRIMINATION – OR AS PART OF A 'TRANSPARENT' WAR ON CHRISTIANITY BY THIS ADMINISTRATION!
Our Founding Fathers KNEW that in order to prevent tyranny the Executive Branch MUST BE CHECKED – that's why they gave Congress the power to override a presidential veto with a 2/3 majority vote to do so in both the House of Representatives and the Senate!
We must DEMAND CONGRESS go full steam ahead with their DEFENSE of RELIGIOUS LIBERTY! And when Obama vetoes the bill as he's threatening to do, Congress MUST BE READY TO OVERRIDE IT!
Even the Harry Reid Senate is no sure-bet for Obama's agenda to wipe out religion, with Senators aplenty depending on military AND Christian votes in order to keep their jobs – HOWEVER, we must not let Barack Obama's veto threats intimidate his party members and others on Capitol Hill!
WE MUST MAKE OUR DEMANDS FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION FOR OUR SOLDIERS HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR!
As protected by the Constitution of the United States, religious liberty for ALL Americans is a right – not a 'privilege' for service members to exercise only on leave or as civilians. They have EVERY RIGHT to the consolations of their faith – free and unfettered – while on the front lines of battle defending this nation!
OBAMA'S ANTI-CATHOLIC, ANTI-CHRISTIAN AND ANTI-CONSERVATIVE BIGOTRY MUST BE STOPPED!
Tell Congress to PASS H.R. 1960 and if Obama behaves in an un-American fashion, OVERRIDE OBAMA'S VETO!
The Obama administration's war on Catholics, on Christians and on CONSERVATISM IN GENERAL, must be met with YOUR resistance!
SELECT HERE to help fight for our soldiers' Freedom of Religion.
