Hello Larry, Have you ever been the victim of a bait and switch? It's often a frustrating sales gimmick, but in Kay Kohler's case, it was devastating. A few years ago, Snohomish County approached Kay about purchasing some of her property to expand a roadway near her house. After obtaining three separate appraisals, they offered to pay her. Kay took the money, believing it was a fair deal. County officials soon got buyer's remorse and decided they overspent. So they invoked eminent domain and sued Kay, forcing her to return most of the money they paid. Now Kay is left with nothing but a lien, a judgement against her, and a mountain of legal costs.
