I'm switching from NRSC to SCF.

Fellow Conservatives:

We wanted to share the results of our recent membership survey regarding the National Republican Senatorial Committee's policy of opposing all conservative challengers to Republican incumbents.

An overwhelming 96% of Senate Conservatives Fund members disagreed with the NRSC's blind support for all incumbents and said that some Republicans should be replaced by conservatives in their primary elections.

As for which incumbents need to be replaced, Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) received the most votes. No Republican got more than 10% support for their re-election.

It's clear that conservatives across the country are ready for new Republican leadership in Washington.

On the question of whether the grassroots should stop donating to the NRSC because of its bias against conservative candidates, 86% said the NRSC should be defunded, 5% said it should not, and 9% were unsure.

Thank you for your feedback. It will help guide us as we work to send new leaders to Washington to fight for our principles.

PRIMARY DATES

Some of you have asked when these primaries are taking place so you can prioritize your contributions. Here are the dates for our endorsed candidates:
  • May 13, 2014 ~ Ben Sasse (R-Nebraska)
  • May 20, 2014 ~ Matt Bevin (R-Kentucky)
  • June 3, 2014 ~ Chris McDaniel (R-Mississippi)
  • November 4, 2014 ~ Rob Maness (R-Louisiana)
In order to win these races, candidates must fund most of their budgets at least 60 days before the primary. That means we only have a few months to make a big impact on the first three races.

FINANCIAL REPORT

Senate Conservatives FundWe also wanted to let you know that we have now invested over $1.5 million in our endorsed Senate candidates.

Click here to see how much has been invested in each candidate.

These figures include funds that our members have donated to these candidates as well as funds SCF has spent on independent advertisements supporting their campaigns.

We have set a goal of investing $2 million by the end of December.

You can contribute to all four candidates with one simple transaction. We pay all processing fees so the candidates receive 100% of your donations.

Thank you for continuing to generously support our candidates.

Best regards,

Matt Hoskins
