Friends,

If you only forward one political message to your friends this election, then this should be it.

Sen. O'Ban's opponent's campaign has crossed a line that no one around here has seen in...well, ever.

From the Tribune editor:
"The Green hit piece lists no sponsor. Emblazoned at the top is "The News Tribune," creating the false impression it was sent to homes by this newspaper."

The editor of The News Tribune went on to call it "One of the most dishonest fliers we've ever seen has just been mailed from the camp of Tami Green. This was conscious, malicious doctoring..."

This is not only unethical, as the editorial from the TNT points out, it is illegal. But this isn't the only time Green has apparently violated campaign laws. Below is a list of past violations:
  • Green was found in violation of RCW 42.52.160 by the Legislative Ethics Board for using public resources to advocate for a side in a private labor dispute (Legislative Ethics Board)
  • The Public Disclosure Commission ruled in 2006 that Green violated campaign finance laws by failing to report contributions for more than 2 years (www.pdc.wa.gov)
  • Green has been fined for violating campaign finance laws and once again is currently under investigation for refusing to report thousands in donations or reporting them months after the fact in direct violation of state law. She refuses to explain to state investigators or report to the public where $11,965 in cash went from her 2010 campaign
Forward this email to all your friends who vote in Dupont, Lakewood, University Place, Fircrest and Tacoma (south of Hwy 16) and Elk Grove (and parts of Graham and Spanaway).

Your friends need this information before they vote!
