Get in the fight.

Look what's happening in Olympia
without the 2/3 protection:  massive tax increases

         The state senate voted to impose $15 billion on taxpayers statewide (gas taxes, car tab taxes, etc).  That same vote authorized Sound Transit to impose $11 billion on taxpayers in the Puget Sound (even higher car tab taxes, sales taxes, property taxes).  Governor Inslee and the House Democrats oppose the bill BECAUSE THE TAX HIKES AREN'T BIG ENOUGH.  They want Sound Transit to be able to impose $15 billion in higher taxes.

         The state house voted to impose $13 billion in higher taxes on Washington citizens:
*  A new $6 billion state income tax (they call it a "capital gains tax" -- you say
po-tay-toe, I say po-tah-toe)
*  $4.2 billion in higher taxes imposed on customers of certain service businesses
*  A
$500 million property tax increase
*  A $2.4 billion sales tax increase

           That's $39 billion in higher taxes.

           It's nuts.

           But t
his is what happens in Olympia when there isn't a 2/3 vote requirement for tax increases.

 This year's Legislature and Governor are providing a perfect illustration of why the 2/3-For-Taxes Constitutional Amendment is necessary.

          The most effective way to fight back against this tax-hiking insanity is by helping us get the 2/3-For-Taxes Constitutional Amendment Initiative on the ballot.  This is the most exciting, impactful, needed initiative we've ever done.  Voters clearly need permanent protection from Olympia's insatiable tax appetite.

         What have YOU done to prevent more taxes?  Anything?
If you have not done anything, what gives you the right to complain?  It is time to get in the fight!

          Success is the only option with the signature drive for I-1366.
