Can state’s Obamacare exchange “live within its means”?
Under Obamacare, state exchanges like ours were built with federal money but are now expected to be self-sustaining. Even though this is written into the law, it seems like that fact still managed to catch our exchange’s leadership off-guard.

“Meet in the middle” means more than taxes

During special sessions, editorial boards and pundits like to tell legislators to "meet in the middle”, but usually they're only talking about the budget and taxes. That idea needs to be applied to some other critical topics as well.

Ports make smart move some thought impossible

Plenty of barriers stood in the way, but the new draft alliance between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma is a smart move that will be better for taxpayers and the local economy.
