Larry,
What a night.
I had the absolute honor of joining nine of my fellow candidates in Cleveland last night to share my vision for America – and I must thank you for making it possible.
In my closing statement, I talked about the need to pick up the baton of freedom, because freedom is not free and we must fight for it every day.
The feedback has been incredible, and I’d like to share some of it with you now. This is from a CNN focus group of undecided Republican voters in Iowa:
Who had the best breakout performance? In Pella, Ben Carson stood out, described as "ready for prime time," "brilliant," and "someone you can really trust."
"Everything about him is impressive," said Lynne Henry. "I just get a real sense of peace and calm with this man that I have not felt from a candidate since Ronald Reagan."
By the end of the night, Henry, who went into the debate interested in both Trump and Carson, was ready to make a decision: "I have been holding onto a Ben Carson bumper sticker that got sent to me, I've been waiting to put it on my car. It's going on tonight."
Larry, last night was progress, there’s no other way to put it. All we can do now is keep our foot on the gas, and double our efforts so we can reach more voters like Lynne in Iowa. These are the times where I need your help, and there are two specific things you can do.First, please make a contribution so we can continue building our grassroots infrastructure, which is of vital importance. And two, please send an email to your friends and family, and ask them to sign up to join us at www.BenCarson.com.Thank you again for making last night possible, and together, let’s continue to carry the baton of freedom. Sincerely,
|
