Several Billion in new taxes?

Jay Inslee claims our state needs 'several
billion dollars' in new taxes even though state revenue is increasing.

Team –

Jay Inslee claims our state needs "several billion dollars" in new taxes even though state revenue is increasing. It's a ridiculous claim that, unfortunately, has received little to no media attention.

This week, Shift reported on how Inslee refused to guarantee he would not raise taxes during an interview on KIRO Radio. When asked whether or not he would make a no-new-taxes pledge Inslee said, "I'm not going to take pledges, except to do my constitutional duty, which includes finding a way to generate several billion dollars..."

Shift is committed to exposing Inslee's tax hike obsession. But, we cannot do it without your support. Will you consider contributing to our cause today?

Inslee's obsession with new taxes appears to be blinding him to the fact that the revenue forecast reveals our state can count on another $400 million in new revenue. In total, our state has $3.2 billion (a whopping 9.2% increase) more in tax revenue than during the last budget cycle.

We here at Shift are holding Inslee accountable for his tax hike agenda and shining a bright spotlight on his lies with the simple truth. Your support is essential.

Inslee had no problem promising he would not raise taxes during his first gubernatorial campaign. In 2016, Inslee might as well pledge not to make any more pledges because he's broken every one he has ever made.

That's why it's so important to shine the light on Inslee's deceptions and his true agenda now. Shift is here to do just that. Will you consider helping us?
