Traditional Values Coalition is working overtime
these last few weeks before the Inauguration. We know that the enemies
of America are coming over the wall. It's now or never to defend our
religious liberties, our families, and our economic security from the
hands of those who find it easier to loot and steal prosperity from
future generations.
Obviously,
our Washington office is working harder now than ever before to go on
the offensive in 2013. Let me share with you 5 quick items TVC will be
working on over the next few weeks and into the next Congress:
1. The Impact of Federal Sequestration
Brace yourselves. It's coming.
TVC
staff is working at my direction to get to the bottom of the impact of
federal sequestration cuts to defense spending, education,
transportation, and to working families in the form of tax increases.
Right now, the conversation in Washington is not entirely positive...
and if December 31st were tomorrow, sequestration would be a certainty.
2. Obamacare takes hold
...but
certain state governors are resisting by refusing to participate in
state-based exchanges, forcing the responsibility back on the federal
government and creating an unmanageable nightmare. Still, the tax
increases to small businesses and working families on top of the impact
of sequestration will most certainly have an impact on the American
economy. TVC is working to keep pastors and friends informed on the
effects.
3. Waste and abuse at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
The
issue TVC refuses to let go away. Which is more important: cancer
research or measuring subway noise? As of today, NIH believes both are
equally important, and they are funnelling over $500 million towards
research grants designed to train the next cadre of radical liberal
researchers and professors -- all on the taxpayer dime.
4. Protecting America's Military Chaplains
Religious
liberty is under threat, and nowhere is that threat made more real than
among our military chaplains after the repeal of "Don't Ask Don't Tell"
-- as gay weddings are now occurring on military bases and chapels
around America in states where marriage has not been protected by law.
Muzzled and under threat, TVC will continue to guarantee that no
military chaplain loses their careers preaching their Christian faith.
5. Defending America Against the Islamist Shariah Threat
Did
you know that over 80% of all mosques in America advocate the use of
violence against non-believers? That most of the mosques built after
9/11 were built with Saudi wahabbi money? That around every Islamic mosque, a waqf is
established where Muslims buy up a 3-mile zone around the mosque --
which then effectively turn into "no-go" zones such as the ones already in place in Dearborn, Michigan?
Welcome to the new Islamist America.
Now more than ever is the time to choose our flag.
We either stand by Old Glory and the Judeo-Christian principles that
make America the last best hope for freedom on earth, or in a generation
we take the nation that beat the Soviet Union and hand our children and
grandchildren over to an uncharted and bleak future.

I know it's not appreciated in all circles, but please remember Israel
in your prayers this Thanksgiving holiday. The Israeli people have been
through a great deal, and they are truly on the front lines on the war
against Islam -- and in many ways, the war to save Western Civilization
against Islamist fanaticism and secular indifference. Prayers for
Israel... God is listening!
