THANK YOU!
Military veterans are men and women who have served in the Military Services --- today's devotion is dedicated to them.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the Politician,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the elected officials,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN, not the elected officials,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN, not the neighborhood organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
While at an athletic event look around --- It is the VETERAN who salutes the Flag because they understand what it means to serve under the Flag,
Recently because of hurricane Sandy our nation's capitol shut down for several days. All except for a "Band of Brothers" who stayed at their post of the unknown soldier in Arlington Cemetery.

Soaked
to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of the tropical storm, they
all agreed that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment --- it was
the highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.
The tomb has been patrolled continuously 24/7 since 1930.
If you know a veteran --- today would be a very good day to send an email, text or pick up the phone and say --- THANK YOU.

Prayer: Father thank for those who serve to protect our freedoms. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
