Peace Officers or Storm Troopers

Mr and Mrs America - What do you want?

Which would you rather have patrolling the streets of Hometown, USA and your local neighborhood, Peace Officers or Storm Troopers?  Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to re-think how much power we want to give to our government.  We the People have the right to expect our government to protect us from foreign invasion, that is true.  However, when our government begins to think of our citizenship as the enemy, that is a red flag.  Ever since the 2001 Terrorist attacks on September 11th, we have let our government take more of our freedom from us than we realize.

Militarizing our police agencies has increased for decades.  Remember when federal agents from the government and military personnel slaughtered American citizens outside Waco, Texas, in 1993, and when federal agents assassinated American citizens at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, in 1992? These two events were an attack on the constitutional rule of law, and an insult to true Americanism.  They, with the help of the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, have catapulted us into an emerging American Police State.  Listen people, there is a vast difference between peaceful assembly of citizens to voice their convictions and the illegal activity of aliens and foreigners with intent to do physical, financial or any other kind of harm to law abiding citizens of this land.

Naturally we have our bad apples too.  They are the criminal element in our society and are to be kept in check by the rule of law and our Peace Officers.  We understand the doctrine of the total depravity of man according to the teachings of our Judeo/Christian Faith but we do not need a totalitarian state to control every aspect of our lives.  Consider the thought that the term "Domestic Terrorist" is a modern misnomer.  Our citizens who violate our laws shall be dealt with according to constitutional law.  They are common criminals, not "Domestic Terrorists."  Foreign perpetrators and enemy combatants who do not conform to our rule of law are not subject to the same constitutional rights afforded our citizenship and need not be treated as such.  Our Armed Forces may deal with them and perhaps the Geneva Convention or some other international law of some sort would apply to them.

Our military could easily seal our southern border and stop the invasion of America by illegal aliens (a crisis created by this administration) but the D.C. elite refuse to address this problem and even threaten Border States that attempt to address it.  Instead of sending troops to assist the Border Patrol, our Federal government sent a small Army to assault a Nevada rancher who was letting his cattle graze on land where his family had grazed their cattle for scores and scores of years,  Do you remember that?  Thank God for Bikers, Cowboys and other Patriots who stood with that rancher.  Our bone head politicians today need to learn that when you push Americans too far with your bully tactics, it is like lighting a fuse to a powder keg.

The Pentagon has been turning our local police agencies into quasi-military units for decades.  The DHS is routinely supplying police-state style training for practically every local police agency in the United States.  The Boston Marathon bombing brought out Gestapo-like tactics by the Boston police. Now, the little town of Ferguson, Missouri, is subject to the same thing.  The U.S. Justice Department has sent hundreds of federal agents to Ferguson.  Who can imagine what annulling of personal liberties might be enacted by martial law should it be declared?    Mr and Mrs America, what do you want?  Where shall we draw the line between freedom and a sane sense of security in our homes, houses of worship, businesses, at our jobs and our places of recreation and entertainment?

The following is a quote from a renegade preacher in Montana, who inspired this little rant.  He sums up these things  nicely.  "This is not a Republican or Democrat issue; it is not a liberal or conservative issue; it is not a black or white issue; it is not a Christian or secular issue.  It is a liberty or slavery issue!  A freedom mindset and a police-state mindset cannot coexist.  They cannot!  We will either have one of the other."

We the American people better make up our minds on what we want and do it quickly because, if we do nothing, our very own and very real Police State is just around the corner.
