What do YOU think?

JAY INSLEE:  "I would veto new taxes in the state of Washington"
Did he KNOW he was not telling the truth when he said that?

JAY INSLEE:  "No, I am not going to propose taxes.  I do not believe they're right for the State of Washington."
Did he KNOW he was not telling the truth when he said that?

SEATTLE TIMES:  At the news conference, Inslee made a clear promise to veto tax increases.  "I would veto anything that heads the wrong direction and the wrong direction is new taxes in the state of Washington," Inslee said.

Did he KNOW he was not telling the truth when he said that?

Candidate Mike Lowry said "taxes only as a last resort" and proposed higher taxes on his first day.  Gregoire in 2004 said "now is not the time to raise taxes" and radically increased taxes in the 2005 legislative session.  Gregoire in 2008 said "I'm not going to be raising taxes" and then took away the 2/3 protection and raised taxes $6.7 billion.

Is this normal, moral & proper?  Should it be accepted as OK from elected officials?

The 2/3-For-Taxes Constitutional Amendment Initiative is critically needed because politicians can't be trusted.  They always promise to not raise taxes ... and that promise lasts only the day before they raise taxes.

Since politicians' tax promises are worth nothing, the people need something else.  We need Initiative 1366.  Once we pass the 2/3-for-taxes constitutional amendment, we'll be protected FOREVER.

Please help us ensure its success.

The July 2nd deadline for Initiative 1366's signature drive is fast approaching.  And we are agonizingly close to qualifying.  We have just the final weeks and days of June to raise the money necessary to collect the required signatures.

Success is the only option with the signature drive for I-1366.  Please help us make it happen.
