Team –
Last week, Shift broke a story on how the taxpayer-funded Washington
Healthplanfinder—our state's online Obamacare exchange—was
engaging in highly partisan political tactics. A document obtained by a
public records request exposed how Washington Health Benefit Exchange
CEO
Richard Onizuka planned to supplement voter registration via the
Healthplanfinder website, the call center, and through navigators and
in-person
assisters.
Notably, Onizuka only sent the email detailing the plans to the who's
who of liberal organizations, on both the state and national level. The
email
was not sent to a single conservative organization. Not one.
The day after Shift's investigative report, Onizuka announced his plan to step down at the end of the month.
Shift is committed to shining a light on how the Left uses taxpayer
resources for their own gain. You can count on us to remain diligent.
