Amendment 28

Good services today in God's House. My Sunday school lesson was on "The 7 Last Judgments", AM sermon was "A Salad Sermon", and the PM study was "Ruth's Report. Click here.
=====
Remember - The U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.

They voted to not give you a S.S. Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.

Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and You will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.

Over 2-yrs they each get $10,000. Will they have your cost of drugs - doctor fees - local taxes - food, etc.increase?
NO WAY . They have a raise and better benefits.

Maybe it's time for the........
Amendment 28

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or

US of Islam?

The United States of Islam

A fast-growing Muslim minority is making its voice heard in America. Some applaud the trend, while others worry that our traditional Judeo-Christian culture is at risk.

What is the truth about Islam in America?

Newsmax magazine's special report "The United States of Islam" takes an in-depth look at Muslim-Americans and Islam in the U.S. as controversy rages around the nation over a ground zero mosque, Shariah — strict Muslim religious law — and home-grown terrorists.

The report uncovers surprising facts about Islam in America — and dispels widely held notions about Muslims in the American melting pot.

Arrested for witnessing to Muslims

A pastor in Wichita, Kansas, heads to court today to defend himself against charges involving his efforts to witness for Christ outside a mosque.

Pastor Mark Holick says the incident in late August occurred as members of the Islamic Society of Wichita were marking the holy month of Ramadan. Police were called when Islamists witnessed Holick and 13 others handing out packets that included the Gospel of John, the Book of Romans in English and Arabic, and a DVD with testimonies of former Muslims who have converted to Christianity.

Holick claims he was basically ignored by the arresting officer. "I asked him, 'What am I being charged with?' -- and he wouldn't answer me," the pastor tells OneNewsNow. "And I asked him a second time and I asked him a third time...and neither time would he even respond to me."

Mark Holick (pastor, Spirit One Christian Ctr, Wichita)The Kansas pastor, who was ultimately charged with loitering and failure to disburse, is no stranger to controversy. In 2009 he won a $10,000 judgment after the City of Wichita admitted it had violated his civil rights when he was arrested for witnessing on a public city sidewalk during a homosexual event at a nearby park.

"It's really good for Christians to see what has really happened to our court system," he shares, "because if you haven't gone through it before, you really have no idea what it has become. But I think it's going to be good at trial, regardless of the verdict."

Holick, pastor at Spirit One Christian Center, will defend himself today before the Sedgwick County Municipal Court.

There they go again...

With the defeat of so many pro-Amnesty Members of Congress on election night, I thought we'd heard the last of amnesties for awhile. Didn't you?

Unfortunately, we have one more pretty steep mountain to climb as soon as Congress comes back from Thanksgiving.

The mid-term elections were definitely a turning point for immigration. An overwhelming majority of Americans rejected the constant push for amnesties by voting for anti-amnesty candidates.

The immigration balance of power shifted dramatically on election night. More than three dozen pro-amnesty Democrats and Republicans won't be returning to the U.S. House in January. In the Senate, 4 Democrats and 4 Republicans who have failed to fight for enforcement are being replaced by 8 pro-enforcement Senators. And the number of True Reformer Members who have pledged to support all of our cuts in legal and illegal numbers has grown from 38 to 73!

But Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi didn't understand this message from the American people.

Instead of focusing on getting Americans back to work, outgoing Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Leader Reid seem determined to take MORE jobs away from Americans and to give them to illegal aliens. Where is the justice in this?

Pelosi and Reid are determined to push through the DREAM Act Amnesty before the new Congress can be seated! In effect , Pelosi and Reid want to OVERTURN THE ELECTION! Haven't they learned anything? Amnesties like the DREAM Act are what so many Americans voted AGAINST.

Just Sunday, an editorial published in Sen. Reid's hometown revealed his strategy:

"Anyone who thought Harry Reid would respond to his bruising re-election campaign and huge Democratic losses nationally by moving to the center, away from President Obama's agenda and toward a new focus on economic growth, is about to be proved wrong.

"The Senate majority leader from Nevada intends to use the lame-duck session that begins Monday to push for passage of the Dream Act, a form of amnesty for illegal immigrants."

--Las Vegas Review-Journal, November 14

The DREAM Act is the Amnesty that just won't die. Although Its sponsors peddle it as a reward for academically talented students who want to go to college, the reality is different. The DREAM Act is a sweeping mass amnesty for most illegal aliens younger than 35. The Amnesty would make millions of illegal aliens legal and would put them on the path to citizenship. It would make them eligible for welfare and Medicare. It would allow them to bring in family members from other countries. See the threat? The LAST THING AMERICA NEEDS is the DREAM Act!

This threat is very real. That's why we've asked our members to fax and call. And fax and call some more.

You members have ordered 260,000 faxes since Friday! Isn't that incredible! We love it. Our opponents in Congress HATE it! And obviously, somebody's got to PAY for it. Please help us beat back this Amnesty! Our goal is $57,777.

If we can make it to January 15, the pressure will be off!

Thank You Veterans

Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a Jagged scar, a certain look in the eye.

Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, A piece of shrapnel in the leg or perhaps another sort of inner steel: The soul's ally forged in the refinery of adversity.

Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe Wear no badge or emblem. You can't tell a vet just by looking.

What is a vet?

He is the cop on the beat who spent six months in Saudi Arabia sweating two gallons a day making sure the armored personnel carriers didn't run out of fuel.

He is the barroom loudmouth, dumber than five wooden planks, whose overgrown frat-boy behavior is outweighed a hundred times in the cosmic scales by four hours of exquisite bravery near the 38th parallel.

She or he is the nurse who fought against futility and went to sleep sobbing every night for two solid years in Danang.

He is the POW who went away one person and came back another or didn't come back AT ALL.

He is the Quantico drill instructor who has never seen combat but has saved countless lives by turning slouchy, no-account rednecks and gang members into Marines, and teaching them to watch each other's backs.

He is the parade riding Legionnaire who pins on his ribbons and medals with a prosthetic hand.

He is the career quartermaster who watches the ribbons and medals pass him by.

He is the three anonymous heroes in The Tomb Of The Unknowns, whose presence at the Arlington National Cemetery must forever preserve the memory of all the anonymous heroes whose valor remains unrecognized with them on the battlefield or in the ocean's sunless deep.

He is the old guy bagging groceries at the supermarket, aggravatingly slow, who helped liberate a Nazi death camp and who wishes all day long that his wife were still alive to hold him when the nightmares come.

He is an ordinary and yet an extraordinary human being a person who offered some of his life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs.

He is a Soldier, Marine, Sailor or Airman, and also a savior and a sword against the darkness, and he is nothing more than the finest, greatest testimony on behalf of the finest, greatest nation ever known.

So remember each time you see someone who has served our country. When you see one just lean over and say Thank You.

That's all most people need, and in most cases it will mean more than any medals they could have been awarded or were awarded.

Two little words that mean a lot, "THANK YOU".

God Bless Our Veterans!

Shall we pray?

What a beautiful morning it was in Tacoma this morning. Great day in the house of the Lord. My Sunday school lesson was on "The Unholy Trinity" and my morning sermon was on "What Christ MUST Do" and in the afternoon I brought a lesson on "Ruth and Reaping" with a powerful hail storm right in the middle of it. We had about 17 in services today not counting the angels... :) To see study outlines on the front page of our website, click HERE.
=====

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, by school Principal, Jody McLeod

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate life style," and if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable means of birth control." If someone is offended,no problem...

I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology..."

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment..."

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical... I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time. "However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!

The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."

Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion.

Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed you before MY FATHER."

Seniors betrayed by AARP

Good meeting last night at our First Friday Fellowship meeting. Elder Turner preached from Gal.2:20 on "Christ In Me"
=====

I KNEW IT. Man, this ticks me off....

Obamacare Spurs AARP to Raise Premiums

* 11-5-2010

AARP's endorsement helped secure passage of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. Now the seniors' lobby is telling its employees their insurance costs will rise partly as a result of the law.

In an e-mail to employees, AARP says health care premiums will increase by 8 percent to 13 percent next year because of rapidly rising medical costs.

And AARP adds that it's changing copayments and deductibles to avoid a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that takes effect in 2018 under the law. Aerospace giant Boeing also has cited the tax in asking its workers to pay more. Shifting costs to employees lowers the value of a health care plan and acts like an escape hatch from the tax.

Are you ready for this?

Friends: This is Major SERIOUS Stuff!!!!!!! If anyone has an answer for survival of the elderly, please share!!! The poor don't get poorer, they get totally eliminated.

Grandparents..should die by Dec 31.

This is Going to Be So Difficult for all of us ...

On January 1, 2011, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect.

They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves.

On January 1, 2011, here's what happens... (read it to the end, so you see all three
waves)...

First Wave:

Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief

In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families.

These will all expire on January 1, 2011.

Personal income tax rates will rise.

The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed).

The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent.

All the rates in between will also rise.

Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same
mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates.

The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:

The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%

The 25% bracket rises to 28%

The 28% bracket rises to 31%

The 33% bracket rises to 36%

The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family.

The "marriage penalty" (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return
from the first dollar of income.

The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.

The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the
single level.

The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.

The return of the Death Tax.

This year only, there is no death tax. (It's a quirk!) For those dying on or after
January 1, 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes, a business, a retirement account, could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.

Think of the farmers who don't make much money, but their land, which they
purchased years ago with after-tax dollars, is now worth a lot of money. Their children will have to sell the farm, which may be their livelihood, just to pay the estate tax if they don't have the cash sitting around to pay the tax. Think about your own family's assets. Maybe your family owns real estate, or a business that doesn't make much money, but the building and equipment are worth $1 million. Upon their death, you can inherit the $1 million business tax free, but if they own a home, stock, cash worth $500K on top of the $1 million business, then you will owe the government $275,000 cash! That's 55% of the value of the assets over $1 million! Do you have that kind of cash sitting around waiting to pay the estate tax?

Higher tax rates on savers and investors.

The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011.

The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011.

These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Second Wave:

Obamacare

There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:

The "Medicine Cabinet Tax"

Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account
(HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).

The "Special Needs Kids Tax"

This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children.

There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education.

Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington , D.C. ( National Child Research Center ) can easily exceed $14,000 per year.

Under tax rules, FSA dollars can not be used to pay for this type of special needs
education.

The HSA (Health Savings Account) Withdrawal Tax Hike.

This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.

Third Wave:

The Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) and Employer Tax Hikes

When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they'll be in for a nasty surprise-the AMT won't be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired.

The major items include:

The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year.

According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress' failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families-rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear.

Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or
"depreciate") equipment purchases up to $250,000.

This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can currently expense half of their purchases of equipment.

In January of 2011, all of it will have to be "depreciated."

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses.

There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the "research and experimentation tax credit," but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.

Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced.

The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available.

Tax credits for education will be limited.

Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses.

Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut.

Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed.

The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of
families.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed.

Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA.

This contribution also counts toward an annual "required minimum distribution."
This ability will no longer be there.

And worse yet?

Now, your insurance will be INCOME on your W2's!

One of the surprises we'll find come next year, is what follows - - a little
"surprise" that 99% of us had no idea was included in the "new and
improved" healthcare legislation . . . the dopes who backed this
administration will be astonished!

Starting in 2011, (next year folks), your W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be
increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort.

If you're retired? So what...
your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.

You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen. Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year.

For many, it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the15% that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases.

Not believing this??? Here is a research of the summaries.....

On page 25 of 29: TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET
PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002 "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."

- Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters.
- Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what is above.

Why am I telling you this? The same reason I hope you forward this to every single
person in your address book.

People have the right to know the truth because an election is coming in November!
Looks like the shoe will drop come 2011. This isn't the worst of it. The really big healthcare bombs don't hit until after the 2012 election. Wonder why that is.
Convenient isn't it?

Advice from an old farmer

My Sunday school lesson today was on "The Two Witnesses", Morning Sermon was on "Life, Death and Eternity" and the afternoon lesson was on "Ruth and Resolve". See the outlines for these on the front page of our church website TLBC.

Hot Air Hand Dryers

My pastor friend put sanitary hot air hand dryers in the rest rooms at
his church and after two weeks, took them out.

I asked him why, and he confessed that they worked fine, but when he
went in there he saw a sign that read, "For a sample of this week's
sermon, push the button."

*****
An Old Farmer's Advice:

* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. *

* Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.*

* Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.*

* A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.*

* Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.*

* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.*

* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.*

* Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.*

* It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.*

* You cannot unsay a cruel word.*

* Every path has a few puddles.*

* When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.*

* The best sermons are lived, not preached.

* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.*

* Don't judge folks by their relatives.*

* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.*

* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't bothering you none.*

* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.*

* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.*

* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.*

* The biggest troublemaker you'll ever deal with, watches you from the mirror.*

* Always drink upstream from the herd.*

* Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.*

* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.*

* If you think you have some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.*

* Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.*

* Never fight an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.*

* Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.*

GRRRRRR...!

Marion and I have been out of town for the past week and had a wonderful time. It was good to be back in Prayer Meeting last night at TLBC. Am now sorting through the emails, snail mail, and all the election junk mail...

GRRRRRRRRRR....!
I'm MAD AND YOU WILL BE TOO!

Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves$4,700 and $5,300 raises.

1. They voted to not give you a S.S. Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.

2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr.

Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.

3. Over 2-yrs The House & Senate each get $10,000 raises

4. Do you feel CHEATED?

5. WILL your cost of drugs - doctor fees - local taxes - food, etc., increase? You better believe they will!

WILL THEIRS? ...NO WAY . They have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past. You're obviously too stupid or don't care. No offense; just making a point!

6. Do you really think that Nancy , Harry , Chris , Charlie , Barnie, et al, care about you?

SEND THE MESSAGE-- You're FIRED.

IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE SITTING CONGRESS AND Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE.

MAKE SURE YOU'RE STILL MAD ON NOVEMBER 2nd AND TELL THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP TOO.

It is OK to cop and forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse. Maybe it's time for the........
Amendment 28

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
And Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
United States ."

Let's get this passed around, folks - these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It's time for retribution. Let's take back America .

If you don't forward this to all your friends; your apathy is just part of the national problem.

IT'S TIME!!!!!!!
JUST DO IT!

They are taking our money for their raises and benefits. Do they care what happens to us? The answer is obvious - NO!

Don't Ask Don't Tell BLOCKED

DON'T ASK DON'T TELL BLOCKED BY INJUNCTION.

By JULIE WATSON, Associated Press Writer Julie Watson, Associated Press Writer.

SAN DIEGO – A federal judge issued a worldwide injunction Tuesday stopping enforcement of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, ending the military's 17-year-old ban on openly gay troops.
=====
What? How can this be? What gives a Judge this kind of authority? This goes way beyond "checks and balances". Any Judge that issues an injunction or court order that is in opposition to the established Rule of Law according to the law making Legislative and Executive branches of our government should have his or her recent relative court decisions voided, all financial benefits immediately revoked and should be removed from the bench. Who has the legal authority to remove a Judge from the bench? I believe the duly elected "Oath Keeping" County Sheriff does. LJK.

Judgment Day

Thank the Lord for the goodness of God. Good services again today at TLBC. We had visitors all the way from Long Island, New York. My Sunday school lesson was on "The Bitter-Sweet Inheritance" and the morning sermon was on "Don't Miss the Truth". Again, the outlines are on the front page of our church website click here.

A preacher said to a farmer, "Do you belong to the Christian family?"

"No," he said, "they live two farms down." "No, I mean are you lost?"

"No, I've been here thirty years." "I mean, are you ready for Judgment Day?"

"When is it?" "Could be today or tomorrow."

"Well, when you find out for sure when it is, you let me know. My
wife will probably want to go!"

A pastor places his order at the pet store. "I need at least 50 mice,
2,000 ants and as many of those little silverfish you can get."

The clerk replies, "We can probably do that, but it might take some
time. Mind if I ask why you are placing such an unusual order?"

The pastor replies, "I've accepted a call to another church and the
pastor's council told me to leave the parsonage the way I found it."
=====
During the last Sunday service that the visiting pastor was to spend
at the church he served for some months, his hat was passed around for
a goodwill offering.

When it returned to the pastor, it was empty. The pastor didn't
flinch. He raised the hat to Heaven and said, "I thank You, Lord,
that I got my hat back from this congregation."

45 wonderful years

Marion and I celebrate our 45th Anniversary today. It was a quiet day. We stayed home hand had home made tacos. Next week however we are taking a trip out of state for a few days. I thank the Lord for giving me such a helpmate as my sweetheart. In His providence, He brought her halfway around the world just for me. AMEN.

Take your burden to the Lord

The Sunday school lesson today was on "Demonic Plagues" and the morning sermon was on "Pounding Home the Truth" while in the afternoon we studied "Ruth and Ruin" Click here for a look at the outlines today.

Concentrate on this Sentence
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Pressing on

We had a wonderful time of Fellowship Last night at the First Friday Fellowship meeting at TLBC. Elder James Tweet from the South Park Missionary Baptist Church in Seattle preached a message from 2Cor.5:17-20 on New Creatures and New Desires.

I attended another Tea Party rally on the steps of our State Capital today and was asked to lead in prayer for the convocation after the Flag Salute. The speakers were very good. This is grass roots patriotism at it's best. The crowd was not as large as in the past due to the fact mainly I think that many of the folks were out door belling and sign waving for the local candidates in their respective districts. Monday is the last day to get registered to vote. Only two more week before the mail in ballots start being delivered. November 2nd is Judgment Day for the elite tax and spend cronies of big government. We are hopeful for some change this time that will be for the good rather than what we got last time.

2 Days of Danger

Dear Friend of Liberty,

These next 48 hours are potentially the most dangerous time of the year, as Harry Reid and his statist allies in Washington, D.C. decide whether to head home for the election or try to sneak in a last minute vote to steal liberty, spend money, or empower big labor and other statist allies.

Thankfully, Senator Jim DeMint has taken a stand for liberty and promised to place a hold on any legislation not agreed to by both parties. This does not guarantee Reid won’t try to force a controversial vote in the next two days, but a hold can only be overridden by scheduling a time-consuming cloture vote.

For the moment, it appears after our defeat of the DISCLOSE Act last week that Harry Reid and his cohorts are almost ready to tuck tail and head home, where you and hundreds of thousands of other C4L members around the nation are waiting to hold them accountable for their votes over the past two years.

However, following the November elections, Harry Reid will pull out all the stops in a last ditch effort to pass as many bills as he can in a lame-duck session. According to a report in The Hill today, Democrats are planning to bring up as many as 20 bills in as little as six weeks! Bills such as S. 510, the FDA’s War on Food, Joseph Lieberman’s Internet Takeover Bill, Cap & Tax, and many more we’ve alerted you about are all likely to come up for a vote during that session.

We’ve accomplished great things together during these past two years. Thanks to your efforts, 80% of Americans support a full audit of the Federal Reserve. Despite the enormous odds stacked against us, we’ve held off some of the worst legislation this country has ever seen.

Only 48 hours remain before legislators head home. Let’s make sure they feel the pressure every single second of it.

In Liberty,

John Tate

President

P.S. Campaign for Liberty is committed to the fight against the statist agenda in Washington, D.C. through grassroots mobilization and issue education. However, unlike the Federal Reserve, C4L cannot just print money out of thin air when we need funds. Won’t you consider chipping in just $10 so we can continue to keep our members informed about serious threats to our liberty?

Success

We thank the Lord for another good day in the House of the Lord. My Sunday school Lesson this morning was on "The Earth in Trauma" and the morning sermon was on "The Righteousness of Saints". We finished our study of our Articles of Faith in the afternoon. To see the study outlines and a copy of our Articles of Faith Click Here.

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

WE WON! But it was close.

We cut it extremely close, but thanks to grass root efforts, we prevailed in today’s Senate cloture vote on the DISCLOSE Act (or as it should be called, “the Establishment Protection Act”).

The Senate fell short of the 60 votes needed to break a filibuster by a final tally of 59-39. This one vote victory showcases the importance of contacting every senator.

I personally called both Senators Murray and Cantwell and sent them emails too asking them to oppose disclose in every vote including cloture. As usual, they ignored me and voted to protect the establishment but thankfully the rino from AK did not vote and there weren't enough votes to stop the filibuster on this bill that attacks our freedom of speech. Hooray!

DISCLOSE is designed to silence grassroots organizations like Campaign for Liberty because they have the audacity to challenge the establishment’s failed status quo.

This deals a massive setback to part of the statist agenda, but it is by no means the final blow. Harry Reid is still likely to again try to ram through DISCLOSE in a lame duck session. The momentum is ours, so we have to not only keep the pressure on, but turn it up!

If your senator(s) voted to OPPOSE DISCLOSE, tell them you appreciate their stand and expect their continued opposition to the bill. If they voted for this First Amendment-shredding legislation, make sure they know you’ll be informing your fellow constituents of who their elected officials sided with when the American people’s privacy and free speech were on the line.

This couldn’t have been achieved without dedicated activism. Thank you for all you do to defend freedom and restore the Constitution! Click Here to see how your Senator voted.

Prepare for Obamacare

Dear Larry,

After months of preparation and hundreds of hours of research and fact-checking, I'm proud to say that we have concluded our investigative report into the hidden dangers of Obamacare.

I appreciate your patience. I'm sure you can imagine that with a task this large we had to take every precaution to ensure that the serious findings we uncovered are absolutely true.

And this report couldn't have been released on a more fitting date. Today marks the six-month anniversary of this unconstitutional legislation's passing. And it represents the first day that the effects of Obamacare will begin to be felt by Americans.

It will start slowly, but, mark my words, over the next few years Obamacare will truly take shape. And that's why you need to prepare yourself and those you love right now.

Because the threats of Obamacare are real. But you can stay safe in the days and years ahead.

Stay Safe,
