Continue to STAND against evil

It may seem like we lost a battle in the spiritual warfare in America on election night, November 6, 2012, but the war is not over.

 Our VICTORY is in Christ.  STAND by grace through faith on the divine standard of God's Holy Bible.  God is real.  He has not changed.  He has spoken in His word and He does not lie.  Stand with the God of the Bible. 

 Jer 6:16-19

16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.     But they said,                We will not walk therein.

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it

 Deut 5:31-33

31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

 Let us continue to STAND against evil in every way that we can...

"... and having done all, to stand." (Eph. 6:13)

We have put on the armor of God. We have advanced our principles. We have acted by voting. We have done all we can. Now all we need to do is stand.  

We need to stand in the full armor of God. (Eph.6:11-18) 

           

            A. We are to stand strong against the devil in the spiritual battles. V.10-12.

            B. We are to stand with all the Lord has given us in the good fight of faith. V.13.

                        (1) With the gun belt of truth. V.14.

                        (2) With the flack vest of righteousness. V.14.

                        (3) With the jump boots of the gospel. V.15.

                        (4) With the cover of faith. V.16.

                        (5) With the head gear of salvation. V.17.

                        (6) With the superior firepower of the Bible and the Holy Spirit. V.17.

                        (7) With the continual supply line of prayer. V.18.

        



          
We need to stand in the faith.  (1Cor.16:13)


We need to stand BY faith.  (2Cor.1:24)

We need to stand praying (Mk. 11:25)

We need to stand in Christian liberty.  (Gal.5:1)

We need to "Go, stand and speak... all the words of this life." (Acts 5:20).

We need to stand in the unity of the faith of the gospel.  (Phil.1:27)

We need to stand in the Lord.  (Phil.4:1) 

We need to stand perfect in God's will.  (Col.4:12)

We need to stand in the grace of God (Rom. 5:2)

God is able to make us stand (Rom. 14:4)
