Some wonder why SHIFT exists, what it is that we do exactly.
We are a thorn in the side of the Inslee administration, outing the governor’s previously secret plan to increase our gas prices by over $1 per gallon as part of his extreme environmental agenda. He was even forced to go on the radio and defend his actions.
We exposed Tom Steyer, the liberal California billionaire who will be pumping millions of dollars into the 2014 elections, and Jay Inslee’s close relationship with him.
We drove media coverage of the Progressive Alliance of WA, the extreme liberal group who, by their own admission, has secretly pumped over $8 million into our elections. They exist to demonize good conservatives like Jan Angel, Rob McKenna, Dino Rossi and countless others. They even relentlessly attacked Senator Rodney Tom, a Democrat, whose only “sin” was forming a Majority Coalition in the State Senate of like-minded, fiscally responsible senators. No one else would cover this organization, until SHIFT pushed for it.
We hold the professional left accountable - we’re a watchdog. If we won’t do it, then who will?
