I think he's got the TRIFECTA in terms of what it takes to win the [Iowa] Caucus: Network, enthusiasm and some
dollars."
- Jeff Kauffman, Iowa Republican Chairman as reported in the Des Moines Register, July 27, 2015
The first
presidential debate is history, and according to the post debate analysis
provided on Fox News by Frank Luntz's focus group...
Ben Carson's
performance was the surprise of the evening!
I'm not
surprised.
The American
people are fed up with politicians, Republican and Democrat.
It's no wonder, no
matter who is in control, the result is the same.
If the Republicans
want to balance the budget, why didn’t they do it when they controlled the White House and both houses of Congress?
For the last ten
years Republican and Democrat politicians pledged to secure the border. So, why isn’t it secure?
The
Republican
establishment claims it is pro-life. If that’s true, why didn’t they
defund Planned Parenthood when they controlled both houses of
Congress and the White House?
Republican
leaders
claim they are against subsidies, yet they fought against expiration for
the Ex Import Bank which subsidizes big corporations like Boeing. How
can
they be so hypocritical?
Republican
leaders
claim they are against subsidies, yet they fought against expiration of
the Ex Import Bank which subsidizes big corporations like Boeing. How
can
they be so hypocritical?
Let’s face
it. The Republican establishment is as guilty as the Democrats when it comes to solving America’s biggest problems. They have
failed.
And, nothing is
ever going to change if we elect another member of the Republican establishment as president in 2016. We’ll just be headed over the
cliff at 50 miles per hour instead of 100 miles per hour.
If you think
I’m kidding, consider this.
8
out of the 9
governors and former governors running for the GOP nomination for
president had sanctuary cities, counties, or parishes in their states,
and not one
of them did anything about it.
Jeb
Bush and John
Kasich support Common Core, the federal education oversight program
that is sure to metastasize into total federal control of education at
the
elementary and secondary level. Why?
Mike
Huckabee,
Scott Walker, and Chris Christie used to support Common Core, but
flipped before they announced their candidacy for the White House. So
you trust
them to not grow the federal bureaucracy?
“Conservative”
Ohio Governor John Kasich increased state spending in Ohio by 18%
between 2012 and 2015 and he plans another 11%
increase in his huge and growing state budget.
To
better
understand the spending of Governor Kasich, consider the fact that
during the same period he increased state spending by 18%, federal
government
spending increased by 12%.
What fool would
believe that a governor who increases state spending by 18% would be able to cut spending by the federal government?
Frankly,
nominating
another establishment candidate will simply fulfill Albert Einstein’s
observation that the definition of insanity is doing the same
thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.
We nominated
McCain and Romney and got whipped.
Yet, they tell us
that we must nominate another establishment Republican to have the chance of winning the White house in 2016.
Nonsense!
What
we need is
someone who is not from Washington. And, certainly not a
multi-billionaire businessman who once proudly proclaimed that he was
“liberal” and “pro-choice” and that the Democrats were “better” for the
economy.
The bottom line is
that nominating Ben Carson as the Republican standard bearer is our best chance of winning the White House in 2016.
Here’s
why...
In 1988,
George H.W. Bush won 60% of the white vote, and he won in a landslide.
But...
In 2012
Mitt Romney won almost nearly the same percent of the white vote, 59%, yet he lost dramatically.
What’s
happened? The answer is demographics.
The
demographics
of the United States have changed dramatically since Bush ‘41 was
president. Yes, it’s true that the GOP won huge election victories in
2010 and again in 2014, but even though they won big in 2010 they lost
the presidential election badly in 2012.
The reason is that
many black and Latino voters do not vote in off-year elections.
And, that’s
why the Democrats have an edge in 2016 if the nominee is anyone but Ben Carson.
No,
it’s not
just that Ben Carson is black. Just running an African American or a
Hispanic does not guarantee that black Americans or Latinos will vote
for him
or her.
It’s not
that easy.
Although an
NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, taken in the fall of 2014, showed that 37% of African Americans identify themselves as conservative (more
than identify themselves as liberal), less than 10% of these voters will vote for a Republican.
Romney only
received 7% of the African American vote.
The
problem is
that for more than 50 years the Democrats and their friends in the
national news media have been telling black voters that you and I are
racists.
Think about it.
Trust is the key to winning someone’s vote.
Even
if you agree
with someone on all the issues, you won’t vote for him or her if you
think a candidate is a racist who hates you because of the color of
your
skin. But Ben Carson is not just another African American.
The Washington
Post
recently identified Dr. Carson as an icon in the black community.
In 2006 he received the highest award given by the NAACP. The movie,
Gifted Hands, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr., told his amazing life story.
Both
President George Bush and President Barack Obama offered Carson the
position of United States Surgeon General.
In
short, Ben
Carson is well known to most African Americans and he is revered and
respected for his many accomplishments, as well as his faith, and
humility.
Even Jesse Jackson
wrote, “He is a model for the youth of today.”
But,
don’t
take my word for it. Instead, consider the results of a test conducted
by this Committee. In the fall of 2014, Ben Carson announced that he
would
not run for President unless the Republicans took control of the United
States Senate.
Upon
hearing the
news, this Committee spent more than $530,000 on radio ads in North
Carolina and in Louisiana, two states thought to contain the key to the
GOP
taking control of the U.S. Senate. The ads were run exclusively on
black and Spanish speaking radio stations.
To simplify,
let’s just deal with the response of black Americans in North Carolina.
Two
months before
the election, a Rasmussen poll showed that just 1% of African Americans
in North Carolina intended to vote for Thom Tillis, the Republican
candidate
for U.S. Senate. Tillis was in trouble.
One
month out from
the election, we began running radio ads that reached about two-thirds
of the African American population. These were straightforward,
conservative
ads on abortion, energy, taxes, national security, school vouchers,
etc.
As the ads
continued to run, support in the black community continued to climb.
On
election eve,
prior to any returns coming in, FOX News contributor Bob Beckel blurted
out “I just read an exit poll and it shows that 18% of African
Americans voted for Thom Tillis. That can’t be right!”
But, apparently it
was.
When
the final
vote was tallied, Thom Tillis won 11.9% of the black vote statewide. It
makes sense. If he received 1% of the African American vote in
one-third of
the state where the ads could not be heard, and received 18% in that
area of the state where the radio ads were heard, the final tally would
have
been 12%.
Why did these
African Americans respond to the radio ads?
The answer is the
tagline for each ad which was...
“Ben Carson
trusts Thom Tillis, you should too.”
Simply
by invoking
the blessing of Ben Carson, Thom Tillis won 18% of the African American
vote where the ads could be heard, and that made it possible for him
to be
elected to the United States Senate.
Still not
convinced?
Subsequent
to the
2014 election, this super PAC hired a nationally respected polling firm
to conduct an in-depth survey of African Americans. After reminding
those
polled about Ben Carson’s life story and his stand on the issues, 49.3%
said that they would consider voting for Ben Carson.
Now, the challenge
is to get information on Ben Carson to these voters who are open to voting for Ben Carson.
I
don’t
expect Ben Carson to win 49.3% of the black vote, but I see no reason
whatsoever why he should not win the votes of those 37% of black
Americans in
the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll who identified themselves as
conservatives.
When
Ben Carson
wins 37% of the black vote, every single swing state becomes a solid
Republican state and every Democrat state becomes a swing state.
Ben Carson is the
Democrats’ worst nightmare, and they know it.
But,
let’s be honest, just winning is not enough.
America
needs a
man who is totally dedicated to the United States Constitution and to
the ideals of America’s Founders. America needs a man of faith who can
provide moral leadership to our nation who has no political baggage.
That man is
Benjamin Solomon Carson!
Carson is right on
Obamacare. Replace it with health savings accounts. Carson is right on the Second Amendment. Don’t compromise it one bit.
Carson is right on
the national debt. Balance the budget now, and pay off the national debt in one decade. Pass a balanced budget amendment!
Carson is right on
national security. Secure the border. Rebuild our military. Stay true to our allies. Don’t negotiate with terrorists.
Carson is right on
the use of our military. Change the rules of engagement. Fight on our terms, not the enemies’. Defeat ISIS.
Carson is right on
abortion. End it. Carson is right on traditional marriage. Appoint judges who will restore and defend it.
Carson
is right on
taxes. Make them flat, fair, and make sure everyone has skin in the
game. Carson is right on Free Enterprise. Preserve it. End crony
capitalism.
Ben Carson is
right on Republicans and Democrats. Both are responsible for the mess America is in.
Ben Carson is
right on class warfare. It doesn’t belong in America.
Carson
is right on
jobs and energy. Build the Keystone pipeline. Export energy. Make
energy affordable for all Americans. Declare a tax holiday on foreign
earnings by
U.S. corporations. Bring more than $2 trillion back into our economy.
On every issue Ben
Carson comes down on the side of common sense, the United States Constitution, and the American people.
Ben Carson is
exactly what the doctor ordered!
Remember,
it was
Romney’s super PAC, Restore Our Future, that enabled him to win the GOP
presidential nomination in 2012 by spending more than $20 million in
the primaries.
That’s
the
reason Jeb Bush is “farming out” his official campaign to his super
PAC, Right to Rise, which intends to spend $60 million to win the
nomination for Bush.
Nominating
another
Bush would be a gift to the Democrat Party. It would be the equivalent
of handing Hillary Clinton the keys to the White House.
But, this time,
the leading conservative candidate, Ben Carson, has this grassroots super PAC on his side. Our goal is to provide the Margin of Victory to Ben Carson.
After
all, Ben
Carson would have never announced for president if we had not gathered
more than 550,000 petitions urging him to run and if we had not
recruited
31,000 volunteers to work for his election (more than any other
candidate).
This
super PAC has
spent more than $3 million on radio ads, billboards, persuasion mail,
buttons, bumper strips, magnetic signs, yard signs, campaign
headquarters, and
a staff of 35 who work hard for Ben Carson’s election every day.
We have been in
Iowa since 2013, and in the other early delegate selection states since early 2014.
Don’t
let
Jeb Bush use his millions to bulldoze under the campaign of the one man
who can win, who will heal, who is ready to serve, and who is
trustworthy.
We have the organization, the game plan, the volunteers, and the leadership
to put Ben Carson in the White House. But, we need your dollars to
succeed.
Iowa GOP Chairman,
Jeff Kaufmann, says that Ben Carson has a “trifecta” in
Iowa--organization, enthusiasm, and money, everything needed to win.
Jeff
Kaufmann is talking about this Committee. Ben Carson is your
conservative frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, but he
needs your help to
win. Please consider a gift
today.
Thank you, and God Bless America.
