The 30th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference
BY TIM SCHMIDT - USCCA FOUNDER |
|
|
As responsibly armed Americans, you and I both understand the
fragility of human life. And our overwhelming desire (and
responsibility) to protect and defend that innocent life is what drives
us in all that we do. It’s why we train. It’s why we carry our guns
every day. And it’s why we continue to fight for the freedom to exercise
our Second Amendment rights.
As important as it is for us to stand up as individuals, we
also know that there is strength in numbers—that we are more powerful together.
Luckily, there are several pro-gun organizations across the
country that continue to prove this notion time and time again. One such
organization is the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), who is,
according to their mission statement, “dedicated to promoting a better
understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and
possess firearms.”
Last year, I invited you out to Chicago for a very special
3-day event sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation and the
Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms: the 29th Annual
Gun Rights Policy Conference.
Well, it’s that time of year, and I’d like to extend that invitation to you once again.
This time around, things are sure to be a little more “friendly” for people like you and me: the 30th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference is coming at you live from Phoenix...in one of our nation’s most pro-gun states.
I guarantee Michael Bloomberg doesn’t want you to attend.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t want you to attend. And President Obama
certainly doesn’t want you to attend...
See, the Gun Rights Policy Conference celebrates everything
that these people hate: guns, freedom, and personal responsibility.
This event is our opportunity, as gun owners
and responsibly armed Americans, to come together in a big way and spark
real change—change that has the potential to make our lives
significantly better.
Alan Gottlieb, SAF Founder, promises that the event, held from
September 25th-27th at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel in Phoenix, will be
“your chance to network, get an insider’s look, and plan pro-gun-rights
strategies for the coming year.”
Best of all, registration is 100% free. You can register online right now at SAF.org.
As in previous years, the event will focus on critical issues
affecting the current firearms landscape, including federal legislation,
BATFE policies, open and concealed carry, and much more.
In addition to free entry and free daily lunch, the Second
Amendment Foundation is providing over $125 worth of vital,
pro-gun-rights materials to each attendee. And the USCCA is sponsoring a
complimentary “networking” dinner on Saturday night (after what is sure
to be a rousing series of panel discussions!).
You won’t want to miss your chance to hear and meet a talented
group of keynote speakers including Alan Gura, Tom Gresham, John Lott,
and the USCCA’s own Kevin Michalowski.
I urge you to partake in this momentous event. After all, what
sweeter place to celebrate freedom and the Second Amendment than in the
most gun-friendly state in America?
Take Care and Stay Safe,
Tim Schmidt

P.S. - Even if you can’t attend the 30th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, you can still be part of something important. Consider joining the Second Amendment Foundation and let your voice be heard!

Cops in Crisis…and What It Means to Us
BY: RICK SAPP |
|
Policing
in America is continuing its evolution from the days beat cops carried
truncheons and slogged through the muddy streets of Boston. The policing
paradigm is shifting, which should be good news, because it has leaned

The
media has told us for decades that women and guns don’t mix. And
they’ll tell you that when women use guns, they are actually just
putting themselves and others around them in danger. But telling a woman
NOT to learn how to…

Imminent Threat: What Does That Mean?
BY: JOHN CAILE |
|
When
it comes to self-defense, nothing is “set in stone”—every case is
different, and all law is a matter of interpretation and opinion (not
yours or mine, by the way). If your case goes to trial, a jury will
decide if what…
