To the honorable members of the October 17, 2013 hearing on Bulk Terminal Scoping in Tacoma, WA. 

Thank you for hearing my voice on this issue.  My name is Larry Killion.  I am a City of Tacoma resident in the 5^th district.  My home is in the Fern Hill neighborhood.  I am Pastor of The Lords Baptist Church and believe we are to be good stewards of God’s Creation.  I hear a lot of rhetoric from environmentalists that skirt the issue and promote a hidden agenda instead.  What the Port of Tacoma and my State does is important to me. 

All those that are weighing in on this issue who are not local residents should be ruled out of order and their disruptive comments nullified. 

The anti-fossil-fuel people are barking up the wrong tree.  Modern technology is able to produce clean energy.  I worked in Boiler Rooms for many years.  I’ve fired boilers with coal, Bunker C Oil and Natural Gas.  We never had a problem with the EPA.  But the issue is not really about the environment.  We must take care of our local economy and insure that jobs are available for working families in our neighborhoods.  Please do not let a few radicals from outside our neighborhood ruin our ability to be competitive in a free market.  Local tax payers will appreciate your efforts to give them some relief by rejecting the globalist mentality of those who would force their will on us and the sovereign State of Washington.  Let private investors buy into our move for more economical freedom on the home front.

Did you notice whom Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?
He threatened not to pay:
- Social Security Retirees
- Military Retirees
- Social Security
- Disability
and -Federal Retirees.

Now let this sink in really well...
- He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.
- He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.
- He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.
- He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around.
($20 Million already spent, all our money, on family vacations. One Million on a FL golf outing).
- He did not threaten not to pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.
- He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients or to stop the free cell phones they get.
- He did not threaten the food stamp programs.
- He did not threaten to reduce payments in foreign aid.
- He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.
- The list could go on and on. He is in full political mode!

His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped.
Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time 2014.
Get out and Vote in the mid-term election - 2014. 
Support the people in the House and Senate that are willing to
cut taxes and spending.
LET'S MAKE 2014 - THE Beginning of a turn around. 
Forget change we want our country back!

Time for Taxpayer Retaliation

United States Senate voted to fund Obamacare.

There were 25 Republicans who betrayed their principles and voted for cloture, giving Democrats the power to implement this terrible law.

This is a disappointing loss, but the bill now goes back to the House where Republicans must hold their ground and refuse to fund Obamacare.

Here are the 25 Senate Republicans who voted to allow Harry Reid (D-NV) and the Democrats to fund Obamacare today:

LEADING THE SURRENDER

There were a lot of people who worked against us in this fight, but nobody worked harder to fund Obamacare in the Senate than Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Republican Leader.

Mitch McConnell pressured several Republicans to withdraw their names from the letter pledging to oppose Obamacare funding, he falsely accused conservatives of supporting a government shutdown, and he actively encouraged Republicans to support cloture this week so the Democrats could fund Obamacare.

If Mitch McConnell had not opposed this effort, there is no question that we would have won the vote today. He showed that he has clout in Washington. Unfortunately, he used it to hurt millions of American families.

SENATE CONSERVATIVES

We want to thank U.S. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) for their extraordinary courage.

Most Republicans promise to stand up for conservative principles during the campaign, but then let us down after they're elected.

Mike Lee and Ted Cruz are different. They deliver.

These two men endured relentless attacks from all sides. The criticisms from the Democrats and the mainstream media were harsh, but the most personal attacks came from members of their own party.

We need more principled leaders like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz because Washington won't change without a fight.

We are extremely grateful to have them in the Senate defending liberty and we will continue to do everything we can to support them.

Psychology 101

 

 

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana. 

 

As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water. 

 

After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ... all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. 

 

Now, put the cold water away. 

 

Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. 

 

The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of him. 

After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted. 

 

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one. 

 

The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment...... with enthusiasm, because he is now part of the "team". 

 

Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the 

stairs, he is attacked. 

 

Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they 

are participating in the beating of the newest monkey. 

 

Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water. 

Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana. 

 

Why, you ask? Because in their minds...that is the way it has always been! 

 

This, my friends, is how Congress operates... and this is why, from time to time: 

 

ALL of the monkeys need to be REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME.

He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. that was instilled in him by his family and mentors - it seems to have never left him. It is not the color of his skin that is a problem in America. Rather it is the blackness that fills his soul and the hollowness in his heart where there should be abiding pride and love for this country. Think: Have we ever heard Obama speak lovingly of the U.S. or its people, with deep appreciation and genuine respect for our history, our customs, our sufferings and our blessings? Has he ever revealed that, like most patriotic Americans, he gets "goose bumps" when a band plays "The Star Spangled Banner," or sheds a tear when he hears a beautiful rendition of " America the Beautiful?" Has he ever shared the admiration of the military, as we as lovers of those who keep us free, feel when soldiers march by? It is doubtful, because Obama did not grow up sharing our experiences or our values. He did not sit at the knee of a grandfather or uncle who showed us his medals and told us about the bravery of his fellow troops as they tramped through foreign lands to keep us free. He didn't have grandparents who told stories of suffering and then coming to America, penniless, and the opportunities they had for building a business and life for their children. Away from this country as a young child, Obama didn't delight in being part of America and its greatness. He wasn't singing our patriotic songs in kindergarten, or standing on the roadside for a holiday parade and eating a hot dog, or lighting sparklers around a campfire on July 4th as fireworks exploded overhead, or placing flags on the grave sites of fallen and beloved American heroes. Rather he was separated from all of these experiences and doesn't really understand us and what it means to be an American. He is void of the basic emotions that most feel regarding this country and insensitive to the instinctive pride we have in our national heritage. His opinions were formed by those who either envied us or wanted him to devalue the United States and the traditions and patriotism that unites us.  He has never given a speech that is filled with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better and grateful and proud that in a short time our country became a leader, and a protector of many. Quite the contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he faults our achievements as well as any critics or opposition for the sake of a laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses his Office to threaten and create fear, while demeaning and degrading any American who opposes his policies and actions. A secure leader, who has noble self-esteem and not false confidence, refrains from showing such dread of critics and displaying a cocky, haughty attitude. Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissension, unrest, and anxiety among the people of America, rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the "Great Uniter"). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping people separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership, Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security. He incites people to be aggressive toward, and disrespectful of, those of differing opinions. And through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of street-fighting gangs, when he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured. Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power. · Never has there been a leader of this great land who used such tactics to harm and hurt the people and this country. · Never have we had a President who spoke with a caustic, evil tongue against the citizenry rather than present himself as a soothing, calming and trustworthy force. · Never, in this country, have we experienced how much stress one man can cause a nation of people - on a daily basis! Obama has promoted the degeneration of peace, civility, and quality of cooperation between us. He thrives on tearing us down, rather than building us up. Support Gun Rights Locally

I’m sure you’ve heard about the successful recall of the anti-gun rights Colorado State Senators. That was a grassroots effort that was outspent 7 to 1 by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his rich anti-constitutional cronies. 

We have a similar movement afoot here in Washington in the 2013 special election.

Appointed anti-gun State Senator Nathan Schlicher is facing off against pro-gun rights State Representative Jan Angel in a critical off-year election battle. 

Depending on other circumstances, control of the Washington State Senate could hang on the outcome of this election. The State Senate is in the current control of the pro-gun majority coalition caucus, comprised of every Republican in the State Senate and two Democrat Senators. 

Right now all it would take for the anti-gunners to gain control of the State Senate is one Senator defecting over to the dark side.

Jan Angel is very pro-gun rights, and it is our job as Second Amendment supporters to get her across the finish line. 

By volunteering a few hours to help out the effort we can be victorious in booting the anti-gun Schlicher and sending anti-gun rights elitists like Bloomberg back to the drawing board yet again.

Time is critical; we only have 7 more days until voter ballots are distributed for the election!

PS:  You may also recall a State Senator out of Illinois giving speeches on national TV in 2004. Less than 5 years later, that State Senator was sworn in as President of the United States. These local elections matter. The time to act is right now, not after it’s too late.
